I would like to ask you to tell me and everyone reading here what upgrade you got from the One UI 8 worth taking up almost 2 GB of phone memory?
And how is your A55 better after this update?
Since mine is not better, it is at best the same, if not a little worse...

GSMer, 08 Oct 2025Today I installed one ui 8 and felt almost very minimal cha... moreIn One UI 7 was big changes compare with One UI 6, in One UI 8 were was not adverstismented big changes, was said from first days that will be small changes. New features there are, not so much, but there are.

2. In One UI 7 was big changes compare with One UI 6, in One UI 8 were was not adverstismented big changes, was said from first days that will be small changes. New features there are, not so much, but there are.
3. Battery draining always faster after updates because there is more features which discharging your phone. Some cleaning caches and battery holding similar to previous version of One UI battery's energy. For me hold to similar energy of battery. I did not noticed big discharges.

S20 FE 5G (still in android 12)
A53, A73 (2 phones), A55 (still in android 14).
Do not believe the creatures whose job is to check for updates daily like addicts.

Guys, I remain of the opinion, Samsung is absolutely ruining the phone more and more with every update. A year ago, the A55 was a great phone, both inside and out, but now there is nothing except for the build quality. The cameras are getting worse and worse, the pictures are almost always blurry, the phone overheats during conversations and when using multiple applications at the same time. Now the battery is even worse, and that was one of the two bright spots of this phone.
Unfortunately, Samsung has seen the mistake of releasing such a quality mid-range phone and is ruining it more and more so that we have to buy a new one.
With each new UI, the phone's memory is shortened by 2-3GB, and that's all. No improvements, only regressions.
Unfortunately, if we want a completely quality phone, we have to pay a lot for it, and that's the only way.

Today I installed one ui 8 and felt almost very minimal change from ui7, signal bars stayed the same not as rumors said, fingerprint animations not available, depth wallpaper still not available, only miminal changes in my files app and gallery almost not recognised. Even one ui 7 didn't make a major difference from one ui 6. Everytime they make big advertisements and then minimal changes. But I think the phone became a little bit smoother and the battery drain a little bit faster. No need for more enthusiasm for the coming one ui versions anymore each brings very minimal changes.

There is no anyway big changes, just few new features and some upgrades of old ones. There is no any AI features, Dex is installed by mistake, because do not working for most people, also is not fully installed. Most changes you can see in internet. Just AI features is not installed and Dex. All others or most of them is.

By the way is Dex's in this update bug/issue. Dex can find in search writing keyboard and will be one of result dex keyboard, but it not working property.
