I have a55 for a week. It looks like it does not support 25w charging, only 10w, samsung only suplied usb cable, what else I should use?. Tried chargers from my previous one plus, iqos, chinese ones, it always takes about 3,5 hours to charge it. Display is nice, body is sharp and hard, it usualy takes some material from where it accidently bumed or falled. IP67 havent tested yet. Call sound quality good, performance better than oneplus nord ce. Software is a bit buggy. Battery performance is not bad, 1-4 days depends on usage, its all over the place, but yeah, better to leave on charget overnight, it won't make 10 to 90% in 20-30 mins like 3 y old oneplus

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2024My god, I have no idea what point you're trying to mak... moreMy native language is not English, so I'm sorry that I'm not perfect, like you are, I don't speak a foreign language very well. I sometimes use a translator for this, just to make it easier and faster to talk. Before you, I had no problems with English speakers and all people understood me very well. Secondly, you're counting the time strangely, because you know that Sharp has been making phones since 2003, but you wrote that you just now to knew that. The third, message is simple, that Sharp makes phones, that it is a legendary company, and that if you don't know anything about it, it doesn't mean that you understand everything well. You're trying to write something, I see, but... brown cake again. In other words wrote something you about... nothing, so maybe that's why so hard to understand maybe others?

Samsung Watch6 Owner, 26 Jul 2024If i'm not wrong Sharp in my country do not selling sm... moreMy god, I have no idea what point you're trying to make underneath that gigantic wall of text full of really bad English.
Yes, I'm aware that Sharp has been making phones since 2003, and yes, they could deserve more attention. But so far, none of their products have impressed me one bit in terms of features, uniqueness, value, and innovation. Their limited availability certainly impacts their popularity and sales numbers as well.
When you buy something as expensive as a phone, you will also need to consider the after-sales service as well. How long will the software be supported? Are there enough service centers? How good is their customer support? Especially for a lesser known phone maker like Sharp, it's going to be tough to find accessories and spare parts.
I'm not saying you shouldn't buy a Sharp phone, but just make sure you buy one at your own risk, because they're not exactly widely-known in an otherwise oversaturated market.

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2024I've known both Sony and Sharp since my childhood as w... moreIf i'm not wrong Sharp in my country do not selling smartphones right now, maybe sold some in past, but right now is not. I do not finding any offers, but Sony till now is available in markets newest models, included 2024 releases. But from 2019 i'm Samsung user. Because that Sony want more money for the same what Samsung offer. Sharp i think walking in the similar way. 300 euros is not big price for mentioned model, but Samsung giving more small things and features. Sharp is legendary company and i think if still with good quality baggage, but Sharp is dying i think like company, i mean all popularity and etc. Respect they are deserved i think, but like costumer of Sharp i don't image myself. I do not tried Sharp phones, but a lot of years ago i knew that they trying to create it. Some people said it's not bad, but overall i don't know it very well, but i know that some customers was happy. I read in some forum about it. If i remember right. I had some Sharp products in past, they was something incredible. But they was not phones. You wrote you first time hear about Sharp phones? Here for you https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Sharp_mobile_phones. From 2003 they creating phones. Included cell phones. Yeah i don't know any people which have Sharp mobiles too in my circle of people which i know, most using Samsung, Xiaomi, iPhones, but it doesn't meant, that Sharp became worst company. Popularity is not big, like Sony too, maybe less than Sony, but that's because i think Chinese started to went to Europe market. That's why Samsung had to do like they doing right now with Apple - to indulge to buyers. I mean do some things what costumers like most. Sharp with Sony i think going different way, that's i think is mistake, that's why, my opinion, these companies dying right now if we talk about phone market only. I hope about Sense8, we talking about this model https://www.gsmarena.com/sharp_aquos_sense8-12904.php? Look, i understand that this model maybe is not the best what you can get for this price, but agree this is not worst offer too. I miss here 120 Hz, because this model have only 90, i miss better frames, glass and maybe processor, stereo or dual sound speakers. But overall check what i found for lower price by GSM Arena finder https://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?nPriceMax=350&nRamMin=8000&nIntMemMin=256000&nVideoMin=1080&chk35mm=selected&nBatCapacityMin=5000&nChargingMin=15&s5Gs=0&sBodyFrames=2&idCardslot=1&sFingerprints=1 Just one phone. 300 euros is not 400 euros where you can find better models, it's small money, that's why i wrote is not bad offer. To 300 euros will be maybe some specifications better in some models, but will be removed 3.5 jack, memory cards and etc. Some people these things is important, included me if we talk about memory card. So Sharp sense8 have all these things and not very bad specifications if we talking about 300 euros only.

Samsung Watch6 Owner, 26 Jul 2024Well to pay for Sharp Aquos sense8 310 euros is not very bi... moreI've known both Sony and Sharp since my childhood as well, mostly for their home appliances, though.
Sony used to sell phones in my country until 2016, where they decided to quit because of declining sales, and competition from Chinese companies. They're still making phones to this day, just not available in my country anymore.
I've only recently discovered that Sharp makes phones as well. Most of them are subpar and not competitively priced, honestly. I haven't come across a single person who owns a Sharp phone and are willing to buy another one from them.
I remember the Aquos V6, which costed $200 at launch and was just pathetic compared to other offerings from Xiaomi, and even Samsung. It only had a 720p LCD, a weak Helio G25 processor, only 32GB of storage, and only 3GB of RAM. The Aquos V6 sold so poorly that its price went from $200 to $70 in just a few months.
I'm sure there's people who enjoy using Sharp phones as much as they do their home appliances. But I can't imagine anyone would pay full price for the Sense8 considering there are far better offers out there for the same $370 price tag (in my country anyway), especially the Galaxy A55, Vivo V30, and Xiaomi 13T.

Of course Samsung A55 is much more better, but and cost more. But Samsung and giving features more. Who's know Sharp, grown up with it, knows that company is/was good. Like Sony they both deserved much more respect as you writing here. I don't know Sharps's phones, but i know that company made in past good quality products, i don't think they doing now worse.

Once upon a time, they both didn't make phones, Sony may have done earlier started to make phones, but both companies are well known in the world to those who are interested in technology and are not younger as teenagers age today. There is Wikipedia, use it sometimes. I know these companies from my childhood, you looks like just now discovered it.

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2024Small 6.1" midrangers exist but only if th smol phone ... moreLol, I've seen the Sharp Sense8 in person and the specs made me laugh for something that costs $370, and from a company not exactly known (outside of Japan anyway) for making phones.
The huge bezels and notch makes it look like a $80 low-end phone, its performance is comparable to $210 phones, it doesn't even have stereo speakers, and only has a maximum charging output of 18W. Not sure about camera quality, but I won't even bother given how uninteresting the rest of the phone is.
It's nice that it still has a headphone jack, but that's about it. No way I'm trading my Galaxy A54 for that piece of junk.

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2024The smaller, lighter, sleeker, and less clunky a phone is, ... moresmall phones are disappearing because people no longer use phones as merely a communication tool. we use them to browse the web, watch videos, play video games, and all these tasks demand a bigger screen. sure, there were multimedia-focused phones before the first iPhone came out in 2007 that could do almost all those things we can in modern-day smartphones, but times have largely changed since then.
remember the first Galaxy Note in 2011? we laughed at how big it was with that 5.3 inch display; was it a phone or a tablet? Steve Jobs, the late founder of Apple, even took a jab at the Note's size, saying anything bigger than 3.5 inches like the iPhone 4/4S would be unusable. but a year or two later, other Android makers started joining in trying to compete with the beastly Note. we had Androids with screen sizes of 5 inches, 5.2 inches, 5.5 inches, to as gigantic as 6.4 inches.
fast forward to 2024, and now the majority of phones on the market have screen sizes of 6.5 inches and over. Apple had to cave in to the growing popularity of big Androids since 2014 with the iPhone 6 Plus. small affordable phones practically don't exist anymore when manufacturers stick with the notion that bigger screens = bigger sales, just compare the sales between the S24 and S24 Ultra, or the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.
you can keep dreaming for a small mid-ranger all you want, pal. but reality is sometimes a bitter pill to swallow.
