So after 4 months of releasing this phone, still no Widevine L1 DRM... Just to be in the safe side I checked with the DRM Info app, and it's Widevine L3 only 😞 As a result still no HD Netflix playback: https://help.netflix.com/en/node/23939 😞
This is very poor from an upper midrange phone. I contacted Samsung with the problem they don't even seem to understand a problem... 😞

Check many places, you will get better feedback. For example when i going to buy new device i going in less two places, i asking about plus/minus and i have image of device. When i deciding to buy or not. Always will be people which like this phone, but always will be which do not like. Here writing some Chinese lovers, i do not advice you to take theirs opinions seriously because they here like trolls. Trying to understate Samsung at all as company. I have this phone from June end, i'm happy, i know that this phone is not flagship and will not be everything ok here. But this phone is one step closer to flagships lines of Samsung. So i understand that this is the best mid range phone from Samsung.

        Spaceship, 08 Jul 2024Why do people care so much about wireless charging, I reall... moreBecause it's comfortable if you need sometime to charge a little bit smartwatch, maybe phone and etc., and if you do not have charger near with you. Image, you going to nature with friends which have full battery of devices, your for example smartphone have less % of battery alive. You asking for friends to charge a little bit your phone. In nature, forest you can't find so easily station where you can charge phone. It's not important feature i think, but it's not bad idea andni think it's comfortable as i mentioned.

Don't peel the plastic from the sides and don't throw away anything. Use the phone for a few days and decide wether you like it or not. I used it for 3 days and returned it. Didn't like the camera, but battery was really good. Performance too, though it does stutter from time to time (small stutters, barely noticeable). It's a good phone, it's not a great phone.

                Its like every time i make my decision to buy this phone, I just regret it because of the negative comments I see here!

If it’s a necessity for you to have it as a main feature, then just go for a phone that supports it, otherwise don’t underestimate the phone for just not having aside feature! :-)

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ takes arguably better pics (compared to A55). There's also Nord 3 with very good performance. Nothing Phone (2a) has an amazing battery life and so on. So yeah... midrange is not Samsung's strong point. It's a good phone, but it doesn't stand out in any way: I think people, mostly, buy it because they like Samsung's UI and/or features, which is fine. I like Pixels more. Also, a lot of people are really into wireless charging - if this phone would have even 7.5 W wireless charging, I think sales would skyrocket (though, they're pretty good as they are).

I don't know what wrong with your phone and battery, but for me battery working fine. If i do not playing all day it holding good. If you all time holding phone in hands do not need to be surprised that battery draining fast. Give a break for some minutes.

But yeah... moreFirst this phone do not cost 1200 dollar, second it's mid range so do not expect highest level photo here. Third i do know no one phone which doing perfect photo at night. I agree that maybe are phones which doing better photo, but i'm not pro photographer so for me it's enough good for me. There is night mode here, which really helping some, at day this phone like most phones doing great photo, maybe is not perfect, but will not do shame for you if you share it to public. Overall it's mid range and like mid range it's one of the best phone.

                          Spaceship, 08 Jul 2024Guys, I was wondering how often you would keep this phone i... moreIt's hard to say, because you do not know what will be after day, week, month, year and etc., but i can say from my experiences, Samsung A70 i had from 2019 to 2024, after dropped it on floor did not turn on it. So i had to buy new. Because i liked A70 a lot of, i did not thought about changing after 4 - 5 years. This one have everything almost what i wanted from phone: IP67/IP68 protection (it doesn't matter which one), 120 Ghz, 5000 battery and etc. I wanted wireless charging too, but this one haven't, but some guys writing that wireless charging is not good enough these days, so i do not cra right now thta. Also keeping in mind that Samsung will update this phone 4 years with features updates and 5 years will update with security updates i do not think right know to change it after 1, 2 or 3 years. But we will see, today i'm happy, we will see what will be tomorrow. You never know that.

                            Guys, I was wondering how often you would keep this phone if you bought it? Like do you prefer paying $400 USD, and replace it after like 5 years? Cause i’m still using my 7 years old phone and can’t decide if I should replace it in this month or the upcoming few months.

But yeah, night photos aren't that great for the price range. Feels like Samsung is lagging behind in cameras - they're just not that consistent: some photos come out really nice, others not so much. And this is passable for midrangers, but even the Ultras suffer from same fate and it's really unacceptable. if I'm paying 1200+ $ for a phone, I'm expecting something close to DSLR quality.

I have no complaints so far... easy to use.. very user friendly... it's not a gaming phone but I can play my games smoothly. Games like mobile legends, call of duty mobile and candy crush.. I haven't tried heavier games though. But I suggest that don't expect too much when it comes to games.. camera is good. I'm no photographer I am not knowledgeable with camera stuff but this camera works well for me. Clear enough for me :)

                                    Cracked screen , 08 Jul 2024This is to register my dissatisfied with the phone after I ... moreNo known manufacturer will ever honor the warranty due to negligence regardless of reason unless covered by Samsung Care+ or Apple Care or some 3rd party insurer. You cannot use the reasoning that its not the case with your previous phones. It is a phone with glass screen and any misuse or abuse will not be covered by the manufacture's limited warranty. Don't blame Samsung for your carelessness and by allowing a toddler to throw your phone away because that is the most ridiculous reasoning I have ever heard from a user trying to claim a warranty.

                                      This is to register my dissatisfied with the phone after I realised a crack in the middle of the phone, something I last saw on a phone in 2014 when I bought Nokia Lumia. I've had an Xperia, Mi5, LG G5, Cubot, Ulefone 7, Poco NFC X3, A52, Oppo 8T 5G and none ever picked a crack despite being left with a toddler. This one my toddler hardly touched it and yet yesterday I noticed a crack. I called service center and was told that I have to pay for the replacement and wait for 14 days or more. I thought I have even filled a warranty form on-line. It's been only 2 months and amm wondering if this victus is weaker than gorilla 5 and 4 that I had in the other phones. I have been looking for drop and scratch tests in vain to compare...

                                      I think there is a major compromise in A55 that we're not being told , one of them being the unstable finger print sensor now the glass lol
