I have this phone from November 2018 and am very pleased with how Samsung made it. More than honestly, I do not need what and how I use it. High quality for a Mid-range. That is an affordable Galaxy S7 alternative. I do not feel it like an A5 (2016), but like an S7. Good job Samsung, good job. You say it's a flagship.

Rish, 30 Apr 2018My A5 2016, shuts down all of sudden when there is enough b... moreMy phone was also switching off while still having enought charge still. Didn't know myself for a few weeks why this was happening then when I took it out of it's case I saw that the back of the phone had opened along one length of the phone and slightlty aroung the edges. Phoned samsung, they suggested that it could be the battery expanding which caused the back to open. It's currently gone to TMT First Ltd in Newcastle - safety inspection department for investigation why this has happened. I understand that if the battery is faulty and has expanded to cause the back of the phone to open it is a safety issue, we shouldn't be using the phone in that condition. Apart from the phone switching off every so often the phone was still working in every other respect. So now awaiting to hear from them as to why it's happened, if it is a manufacturers fault which I think it must be because I looked after the phone, there was nothing on my behalf that I did wrong to cause this to happen. So I suggest to check the back of your phone to see if it is still in place and even if it is, get advise to see if it could still be the battery inside that is causing
the phone to switch off.
