Flashing ROMs are safe as long as you use Official ROMs. Also, you should not trip the Knox Counter. There are forums (e.g. XDA Forums) with procedures on how to flash official ROMs without tripping Knox. Flashing official ROMs doesn't necessarily need rooting.
The real security risk comes when you root the device and flash unofficial ROMs. Rooting itself makes your device status "Custom" even if you used official ROM. As a consequence, you won't receive feature and security updates OTA.

I also flashed the Australian firmware from sammobile into my brand new samsung A7 2017. Everything is working perfectly since 2weeks now. I even received a 154MB update this morning and ofcourse I have quietly installed it. When Samsung releases the A7 nougat in Nigeria, I will go back to it. Make sure u obtain the firmware from sammobile only cos that's the only place u can obtain the official samsung stock firmware.

Mine never failed even once, though it may fail when there's water in your fingers but on a normal circumstance it doesn't fail. The trick is register your thumb correctly and place it well whenever you want to unlock your phone.

Your warranty is not voided. You can flash your pakistani rom back and your warranty is back. you can check in download mode as well. there you can see official rom. You also dont worry about your privacy because we are flashing official rom of samsung that available on internet. If we use customized roms then we have issue with privacy. Talking about updates you will recieve United Arab Emirates (XSG) updates on this rom. after back on pakistani rom your pakistani updates is back.

But Samsung released precautionary measures (I forgot where I read it). If you are dipping this phone in non-tap water (sea, swimming pool, etc.), you must wash this phone with tap water afterwards.
EDIT: I read it here http://www.samsung.com/au/pdf/IP68.pdf Nevermind the device mentioned in the document. It's for all Galaxy devices with IP68 rating.
