AnonD-657975, 30 Sep 2017Today is the last day in September and we did not receive N... moreBrother its Shamesung, almost every country updated except Middle East, shame that a user from other countries using Nougat 2 months ago, we are still waiting, is samsung living in past 500 years ago, if Apple updates its devices in single day all their devices including tv, mac, 5 6 model smartphone, why shamesung takes 3 months for just one same spec model smartphone to update, they are disgrace company their focus is on S series and selected countries where they always release update faster, shame on samsung, shame

Guys, i don't know which mobile phone should i choose A5(2017) or Huawei P10 Lite, and if it is A5 can someone tell me are their problems after the nougat update? thanks

Bonji, 29 Sep 2017The Specs are just ok and the display is only theoretically... moreAdding a S6-S7 camera would cannibalize S7 sales. The camera is the main difference between A5 and S7, if the A5 had a similar camera then the S7 would sell worse.
Or if they had to add a good camera, other features would've been sacrificed.

They say there ... moreHuge difference bw marshmallow and nougat, Samsung is worst company when it comes to update Devices, they only update Europe and other selected countries every time first and relax for months after they see dream, and say ohhh we forget to update others countries, shame updating policy of samsung, Skip 2017 model A5 they instead updated A5 2016 first 4 months ago, shame.

Hi guys, are there any problems after upgrading to Nougat? I just finished downloading the files to update to Nougat, but I'm worrying the problems. Can any of tell the difference between Marshmallow and Nougat in A5 2017? Thanks

Super Presh, 29 Sep 2017I'm using this phone without any protective casing, hope th... moreI'm just using a case. No tempered glass or screen protector for more than 3 months. No scratches on the front glass at all.
The back has Gorilla Glass 3. The front has Gorilla Glass 4. You better put a case. For unknown reason, the back of my phone have a small scratch. :|
Currently I'm using a shock absorber clear case. I once dropped my phone, but the case received the shock. No scratches (again) on the front glass. Besides, the real beauty of this phone can be shown through a clear case.

If your phone has an insurance for damage caused by your hand you should be ok without a case. Otherwise get a case! The back is from glass, so is the display. Those will crack when hit to the ground. Furthermore the back glass hasn't got the same hardness as the display glass which is gorilla glass 4, the back is just glass and wil scratch very easily.

I'm using this phone without any protective casing, hope the aluminium frame doesn't scratch at all and the glass front and back don't scratch easily? Please I need first hand answers from those REALLY using the phone.

Anonymous, 29 Sep 2017Likely a hardware fault. Get your phone checked.I already did a month ago they just hard reset the phone. I wanted a replacement but i dont think it's possible. I charged it while the fast cable charging is off and it charge normally but it takes 1h40mins. I have no idea if the problem is the battery because the battery doesn't drain fast. Only problem i uave on the phone is fast charging. Overall it's great but unable to use fast charging properly is a disappointment.

The Specs are just ok and the display is only theoretically un crisp otherwise its a really good phone. The Camera is Utter flop. Midrange sets should be either powerful sacrificing premium features or it should have some premium features of flagship like camera etc and sacrifice on hard core performance. Considering Phones like OP3 Xiomi etc this falls to premium features with less powerful chipset and the Greatest mistake is the CAMERA. The camera is a waste of 16megapixel technology without OIS. the front camera lacks autofocus too. Very Very poor thinking by SAMSUNG. @last in the coming facelift Samsung should add a camer @ least the one from s6/7 with OIS and autofocus capable front camera , add good sensitive fingerprint scanner and simplify and optimise the os for smooth silky flowing experience. Or else it would be sinking in between the really smart ones.

Motorola used to update their Moto G line faster than any flagships, unfortunately that's not the case now. At least Samsung provides 2 major updates for the A and J series, even if the update is rolled out late.

This indeed is a serious issue, which Samsung is doing nothing to fix it.
