Got a Nougat 7.0 update for Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 in India and phone is great in every aspect. Worth for every penny u invested.

Dont wait for nougat update on nougat your battery life becomes low and it drains fast as compared to marshmallow and no doubt nougat is new OS and its very beautiful and experience 8.1 but it drains your battery fast i have seen many peoples complaining about battery life on nougat so there is no big difference between nougat and marshmallow, only the always on display and clock widget and icons are new, there is no difference between performance so enjoy on marshmallow

... moreDesign and look are the same thing. That's subjective. A5's 3D glass design appeals to most people out there, since it's simply more ergonomic. The old A5? Just an ugly slab of glass and metal.
Both phones have the same display, or so it seems. Comparisons tell that the new A5 has a slightly better display.
You're also forgetting about other features such as battery, USB type C, IP68 protection, etc. Which the A5 2017 wins.

AnonD-674391, 27 Aug 2017This is kinda my opinion too. My best friend got the both d... moreLol, no way. A5 2017 is faster in every aspect, CPU, GPU and RAM wise. Maybe your friend's A5 has corrupted software.
And in my opinion, A5 2016 looks like an ugly slab of glass. No curves, hence poor ergonomics. Most reviews also agree with this. And the ugly camera bump is another issue.

Camera ===== I think 45 55 here Because A5 2017 lacks OIS Still A5 2017 Have Edge Rear Camera
Software Features ===== A5 2017 With Nougat Definitely Wins
Display ====== Both Are same As i used A5 2016 i think its color are little bit sharper and better 51_49 here
