A5 2017 has good battery life but it almost stops there...it has the worst camera ever with no stabilization almost all your pics will be out of focus! I have no idea why they opted for a 16 MP camera...also you can hardly hear people on this phone's speakers....the people next to you can your conversation better than you can!

Anonymous, 08 Aug 2017Z5 is leagues ahead of A5 in terms of camera and performance.If you say so! Samsung is still leags ahead of Sony. The same goes for the A5. There is a video on YouTube clearly showing the real winer.
This is only my opinion I am not saying everybody has to agree with me.

Water resistance tested. Got in small sailing accident. Phone was under water about 45 min. Straight after I was able to make pictures, it had network and I could send msgs. Phone dried itself in 24 hrs and works perfectly! Well done! And safety wise its great, if something happenes on the water, you still can reach for help or be contacted. For sure I didnt expect that it would work after such a time in a water.

Battery drain issue is solved but when the battery reach 99% the battery jumps to 92% and then after 15-30mins it will reach up to 95% then jumps to 100%. I always experience this while charging it on, i have no idea how to fix it.

other thing you want virtual or psysical buttons. battery life should be better on a5.
If playing games more visual intens than candy crush saga go for z5

man.. i have newly bought this phone, which comes up with usb type C adapter to micro 2.0. But it didn't work on my USB 3.0 OTG drive sandisk but works fine for charging cables. does this phone really doesn't support OTG now? but i read some article that it has usb otg support. anyone experiencing this problem too? what should i do?

Im currently torn between the Z5 and the Galaxy A5 2017 as my Moto G4 screen has cracked. I understand the Z5 has Nougat 7.1.1 and there has been a fix/patch on the battery life bug related to the Movie Creator app. But does it now have the means to challenge the excellent Exynos processor (and Grace UX optimisations) of the A5 2017? (The Samsung one might have an older Marshmallow software but based on tests battery life has been excellent + the water resistance albeit a so-so camera. )
