Anonymous, 13 Feb 2018how is battery life in a5 2017 after one year of usage ?I’ve had mine since May and the battery life is still very good. The fast charging is REALLY quick!

Please can anyone updated the phone to lollipop tell me how the battery consumption became ??
I mean have it remained the same ?? Or got worse ??

It's normal that it becomes a bit worse after a year .
However , i found that using the phone until it's only about 5% to 15% and then recharging the phone to 100% (constant recharge until it's 100%) can actually improve the battery life
Hope that it would be benificial to you .

sold in Canada model... it did not come with working FM radio! was really upset. I bought the phone for this...
when I went to flash a European rom it got pretty glitchy- it messed with the boatloader and tripped knox... got the unit to work (even the phone part worked just fine) and even the FM radio worked... so canada carriers and samsung block it on the canada verison... such BS
so this sucked... camera is not as good as S7 and missing LED, also processor not as strong.
other then that it was a fine model. superior battery (because eynos processor not as powerful) and a better handling phone then the S7, Fm radio, Ip68, mirco SD,quick processor, calls sound good. beautiful screen... a shame the 520W has compromises.
can be found for cheap even a year later if desired, watch for this drop in price...

I have seen A5 priced at £240 (Pound sterling equivalent) in our local market. So, you are absolutely right to return this phone and get the Huawei P10 for less. I am surprised though that P10 is selling for more than £450 in our market ! But yes of course P10 is/was a flagship from Huawei, Galaxy A5 is not. These two devices are in different category of phones like a high-end and midrange, and really not fair comparison.

It isn't plagued with the oversharpening issue the S7 faces. In low light, yes, picture quality takes a beating. But that's expected from every non flagship phone.
