Bought this last week. Very good phone. Two issues however; battery life not as good as expected and secondly the contact photo display is ridiculously small for such a wide screen. I downloaded an app which proposed full screen contact pic, it offered the display I want, but unfortunately it cannot answer any calls. Anyone with a valid solution for the second issue, would be much appreciated, thanks.

the speed its nice the soft(system) its beautiful worked with the settings build in it, i really enjoyed the gesture swipes stole from Iphone X. but thats all.
The speaker sound is cringy and i found myself after just 1 week of use to hold it more on silent(vibration) where you can find in setting 3 intensity level for vibration of the phone and i turned them all to high vibration (awfully lowest vibration i have ever experienced in any mobile phone ive ever touch with hand). And you will always find yourself corecting the auto-brighness because its a very bad made phone.
I payed for the OP6 2800Ron and sold it for 2000Ron after 2 months(i consider myself lucky on lossing only 800Ron(175Euros) and im waiting the A6+ 2018 wich i order at 1288Ron

good luck mate...enjoy your phone, atleast when samesung choose to update it...im telling from experience that the only good samesung products are the flagship ones...A6, A6+, J7, J7 Core, J7 Pro, A7, A5, etc., im surprised they stopped using the Neo word now...

im not a xiaomi user by the way, i used to have samsungs, flagship ones, terrible software here and there...now i use iphones and oneplus5...iphones are shit too specially batteries...but whatever, go dive and buy the A6+...MDTRPA is the g.o.a.t....hahaha lol

I understand that you're trying to say Samsung is expensive and Xiaomi is cheap.

Xiaomi launched a new phone for Xiaomi worshippers like you. It's called Xiaomi Qin, it costs only $30. Please buy it if price is your concern.

Lulu owns a horse and you own a donkey. Now you're expressing that your donkey is better because it works harder than Lulu's horse. I agree with you.

[deleted post]mr. did you read what i posted? i said the processor runs the whole phone, not the display, not the camera, the processor. you played pubg? and its smooth? tried multitasking while gaming, is it still smooth? i dont know what smooth for you is, but it stutters a lot after a while of gaming, pubg, mobile legends, etc.,.switching apps in between while keeping the game running in background is u know, as expected of your mighty sd 450, it sucked... i have tested it using my friend's a6+...for a whole lot of dollars you get that kind of performance? pathetic...youre not a heavy user so you appreciate the small things, but a phone that expensive is not a small thing...lol

mdtrpa, 03 Aug 2018In any smartphone, it's the battery and the chipset that de... morecameras and good displays doesnt mean anything in the long run when your device becomes slow after an update because the chipset cant handle it.

also, sd 450 however new it is, is an underpowered sd 625 built to cater the higher low-end segment to give it a boost. it's purpose is to give ENTRY-LEVEL devices a 625 experience. Battery you say? all up-and-coming chipsets now are battery efficient even the Mediatek once, It doesnt matter if you have 3000mAh or a Li-Ion or a poly battery.

A6+ is a low mid-end device with an ENTRY-LEVEL chipset and a PREMIUM price targeted at the mid-tier market competing in the HIGH MID-END segment. even though it's built rock solid, has one of the best in-class screen, and has fabulous battery life, and not to mention pretty capable set of cameras, that under-powered processor results in a phone that has it all and yet nothing at all. Because, at the end of the day, it is the core hardware that will be putting everything together to drive the show forward. It is more expensive than the Nokia 7 plus rocking a 660 chip. No matter what Samsung or other manufacturers who overpriced their SD 450 devices, it is hard to digest.

better camera you say? Super AMOLED display? it only looks good in your device. try uploading it to other sites or share it with your friends and its true colors will show up. unless of course you dont share photos at all.

try a few updates and wait when your device becomes very slow even opening messages and multitasking becomes so frustrating because the chipset has become AGED. Of course you can always say in 2019, "what do you expect? its an old 2018 device, it's supposed to slow down, and you should buy a new one. This phone is targeted at the low-mid market. some of which cant afford to buy a new phone every 6 months. if you can buy a phone every 6 months why settle in the mid-end then? for these people long-term usage is gold.

To Samsung enthusiasts and loyalists, this is the gold standard, to everybody else, it's an overpriced, feature-laden device for people who thinks that since it is a Samsung, it must be the best. Good luck on your purchase, Samsung will get your money again after 6months to a year. Win-win situation, right?

Usb on the go available on this phone?

ophak, 03 Aug 2018dude you are comparing it to the Mi A2 with sd 660 and Redm... moreIn any smartphone, it's the battery and the chipset that degrades the most. Chipset performance degrades because of the regular updates which provide features and security at the expense of performance and stability.

The display and the camera, they don't degrade unless by a manual mistake.

                                  I'm comparing the device models A6+ and (Mi A2/Note 5 AI), not the chipsets. I'm aware that 660 & 636 are better than 625 & 450.

Any flagship device has no compromises, but the price. Because you get what you pay for. Mid range devices have few compromises, Samsung does it by providing sufficient enough performance without any lags, but no bells and whistles.

Xiaomi does compromises either by display quality, polymer batteries, low quality cameras, rarely improper chipsets.

With My A2, it has compromised on display quality (gsmarena review), smaller battery, removal of 3.5 mm Jack & microSD slot. Yes, the Sony cameras and chipset are good.

With Mi A2 Lite, polymer battery, rear camera of f/2.2, front 5MP, misleading SDM625, SDM625 refreshed/reworked to SDM450, but people would buy the device because they think it's 600 series. In FY2018-19, Xiaomi is the only company to use old SDM625 to misguide people, whereas other companies have shifted to newer SDM450. You should be knowing that SDM625 supports maximum FHD display resolution, but Xiaomi has stretched it to use FHD+. So, potential problems expected.

With Note 5 ai, the wrong combination of polymer battery and fast charger. You should be knowing fast charger is an enemy to polymer battery, for ion batteries it's good. Google it.

Xiaomi provides AMOLED only on flagship devices, but Samsung for all devices.

None of the Xiaomi devices have IP certificate for water/dust protection. Xiaomi provides good only that what people can see/know.

So, you only get what you pay for. If price is your concern, buy the latest...
