Samsung Galaxy A60 and Galaxy A40s are up for pre-order

Samsung Galaxy A60 and Samsung Galaxy A40s were announced last week in China with triple cameras and a fingerprint scanner on the back. Today the devices appeared on the company website for pre-order, revealing the launch dates.

Both handsets will start from CNY1,499 ($225/€200) for the 6/64 GB variant, but the Galaxy A60 has a second version with double the storage that costs CNY1,999 ($300/€270).

The Samsung Galaxy A60 has a 6.3” LCD Infinity-O panel, meaning the selfie camera is hidden behind a hole in the screen. The front-facing shooter is 32 MP, while the main setup on the back is 32 MP + 8 MP ultra-wide + 5 MP depth sensors. It runs a Snapdragon 675 chipset and comes with One UI. The battery is 3,500 mAh, charged through the USB-C port.

The Galaxy A40s sounds like a new smartphone, but it isn’t. It is actually the Samsung Galaxy M30, currently available in India. It has the very same specs sheet of an Exynos 7904 chipset, 13 MP + 5 MP + 5 MP main camera setup and a huge 5,000 mAh battery. Pre-orders for the rebranded smartphone are ending on May 5 at 10:00, when the shipping will begin. The Galaxy A60 pre-order is ending five days later.
