I hope the A71 is a better device than this thing. Because samsung has never disappointed me until the Ax0 series came. I wouldnt mind a sdg675 (hell id even settle for a better A7x series with a 636 processor in exchange for a better signal and camera.) for the second time as long as u fix the wifi antenna, usb port, motherboard, camera, reception

J8 is a better deal than this one. This one is just a supercharged version of the J8 with a bad camera and a bad wifi antenna especially for those with 2.4ghz routers and not 5ghz routers. When they say samsung phones are bakwaas this is one of them. Sdg675 and 25w charging is the only main point but what is a phone if you only buy it for processor. Get a Tab S4 and a cheap phone or an old iPad and a cheap phone instead because this thing is no better than a tablet. Or...get a Redmi Note 8 Pro or the Vivo V17 or others. Avoid this

Scratch that, avoid the a70 at ALL COSTS. Just took a picture in good lighting and it takes 5 minutes to focus. Wifi is still as horrible as ever. Screen is way too sensitive. Worst $399 ive ever spent. Samsung u owe me

Build quality is great, good enough for games (i suggest medium graphics for the best experience.) Speaker is fine, could use a little tuning, plastic back is durable, 393ppi screen is good. Colors are so nice even in basic setting. Its an ok phone with a signal issue. 7/10 compared to a 8/10 like the iPhone 6s plus and HTC 10

For me its not worth it because samsung service center is too far and i dont think you can do anything to a phone's network issue

Got the usb connected/disconnected problem. Tried all online 'tricks' I could find but no luck... Samsung service is clueless and can't detect the problem.
I've ditched the phone for the time being. Tired of trying to fix something that even Samsung service is unable to fix...Hope the upgrade to android 10 will fix this ( if it's an software problem).

There a lot of people with the same problem complaining on Samsung forums and on YouTube but so far no answer or acknowledge from Samsung.
Samsung service is clueless and unable to can't fix the problem....shame!

It is interesting to read all you negative comments and experiences on this Samsung galaxy A70 handset. I am using it with pleasure and satisfaction since july 1. 2019. Really never had any - any issue. just works and works fine for me. Many updates did not ruined the fp sensor sensitivity either. I am so lucky, or you are so unlucky regarding the choice of this A70 handset. I use the European version dual sim.
There are many similar nice and super mid range phones out there, but I think there is no perfect phone. I used some phones earlier, LG, Huawei Honor etc... e.g.: Huawei: good phone, well built nice quality. drawback: no software updates and no software backup on manufacturer side. LG 2-LG-G3 nice bulit, fast system ect.. Drawback: no regular updates, drpopped normal 2-3G signal useless for telephoning... Samsung: everything super for me, really. Drawback: camera need to be improved.
No matter what you buy, there will be a twist everywhere....

I purchased the A70 in September 2019. Am very disappointed with the product. Have had numerous issues with the Network connection. Continues to have line drop issues though I have taken various actions recommended by Samsung Support Centre & have even taken phone to Samsung Centre in Sunway Pyramid. The service centre claims they have changed the mother board but the issue continues to happen. The final recommendation was that I should wait for the next software update & hope that it resolves the issue. Very disappointed. Will never buy a Samsung phone again in future.

Took it to Ottawa and they said they fixed it, next day (Today) It was at 15% and the suddenly im not able to charge my phone anymore again.

Same network on the A70 6GB variant took 20 minutes

Hi, after usage of A7 2017 and A7 2018, I was thinking that A70 will be an upgrade compared to them.
How wrong was that.
I had bought it from good shop and later at home start it.
Quality seems same as A7 2018 and lower than 2017, nevermind.
The surprise comes from Wi fi. Actually missing wi fi.
At home wi fi, A7 2017 has more than 15 Mbits/s, A7 2018 more than 25 Mbps and at same place A70 - 0.1 Mbps (WTF).
May be it was a problematic item but on the next day it was returned at shop.
Wi fi test is missing at GSM arena tests and the other review sites, so may be it should be included.
Hope this help someone.
Now I am waiting for Mi 9t pro, for which I was so reserved.

Did you know that you could buy a flagship phone like the mi mix 3 5g with Snapdragon 855 and a full screen ,super amoled display and it's back is made from ceramic with 18 karat gold and an exellent camera with 105 in dxomark , and stereo speakers for only 280$ from AliExpress instead of buying a plastic phone with the worst fingerprint scanner , a lot of bugs and a midrange soc ,camera ...
