This or the pixel 4a? I don't care about size or battery (pixel 4a is good enough) but I like that the pixel has more updates. However Samsung has features I use like floating windows. I am looking to keep it for ideally 3 to 4 years. Also I really don't care about the useless cameras on a71, I don't like that it has no ois and my current a8 2018 with no ois takes very blurry photos if your not steady. This is another reason why I would prefer the pixel. However I like the a71 design more and both cost about the same. Not considering anything else because oxygen os 11 doesn't look that good for the Nord and I don't like any other software like miui or anything.

walid, 11 Aug 2020i'm going to buy A71 , is it a good phone ?its a good phone for daily use with nice cameras even it came with no RAW photos. Also i noticed that this phone is not supporting adobe rush and I don't know why. You will need to take care of this device because it lacks water and dust proof, but you can use a cover and screen protector which are included fortunately. I also noticed that the audio system on this device is not the best.. mic, speaker and earphones are medium quality. The vibrator is not the best too it looks like an older technology.
I like the screen and the battery which lasted longer than I expected. I also like how smooth this phone is.. its snappy and fast. For it's current price I think it's worth buying specially for someone who don't want to spend 300% more money on a flagship.

Its more than enugh for daily using , taking photos and videos, social media and the battery will last longer than you expected. How ever it lacks some features like water and dust proof, no RAW photos, microphone , headphones abd loud speaker are not the best and I notice that sometime the OS just stuck for seconds. But for its current price I think its a good choice for anyone who don't want to buy a high priced flagship.

GCam with Night Sight was made for Pixel Phones by Google but because of its immense popularity (produces superb day and low light/night images), independent developers who owned the Samsung A71 ported Google's GCam with Night Sight for Pixels so they'll work on the Samsung A71.
The warning when you download apks from the internet and install them in your phone is a routine warning. Google wants you to install apps only from the Playstore. Installing ANY APP downloaded OUTSIDE Google Play Store (Ex. From the internet, or copied elsewhere) produces that warning, even if you yourself, your friend or some other reputable/trustworthy third party developer made the app. If you don't trust the source of the app, fearing it may contain viruses or malware, then the safest bet would be to not install it, and find other ones made by someone you trust. You can also make your own GCam port for the Samsung A71 if you have the necessary coding/programming skills.

My stupid A71 not working when it is on a glass table and I only use my pointing finger to operate it. I have to pick it up by another hand or let another finger to touch some where on the phone (one edge for example). It seems it need to ground connection to be closed somehow. This is very stupid. Samsung should collect this stupid model from market and solve its problems.

My A71 is very brand new and only 15days old.
I have been recently facing battery drain issues but after I turned off my always on display my phone's battery life drastically increased.
