Tommon, 29 May 2020would you know if I can use a s pen with this phone? No. S-pen requires the specialized software in Galaxy Note series that makes the stylus function more than just being able to tap and swipe.

If it's laggy with all the games you play, even those that can be played offline, have your phone checked. Otherwise, email the developer their gaming app has issues with the A71. Better screen shot your game settings and phone settings and send to developer.

Anonymous, 27 May 2020Things the A71 has and can do that the Realme X2 Pro doesn'... moreThis is the kind of benefit I was looking for in the phone over the Chinese phones.
I'd love to get the S10+ or IPhone 11 Pro or Pixel 3AXL but either they cost 2 kidneys or unavailable in India.
The price of A71 in India for top spec is Rs. 33K whereas OP7T is at Rs 35K and yet I am inclined towards A71 rather than OP.
              No MI/OPPO/vivo/RealMe for me.
If I have to put more punch to buying a phone, for Rs. 43K, I can get S10 Lite. Not sure how that will be a benefit when my aim is to switch to flagship again in 2 years time(if I am able to save that much money).

Its has the latest... moreYou can email the developer to correct the bug that causes the game to run slow on an actually faster snapdragon 730G A71 processor with even more GB of RAM. That is assuming you are not launching the game from micro sd storage. Also, fake micri sd cards cause lots of performance problems to otherwise fast processors. So it's either those, or your A71 is defective.

If that's the case, have it replaced or refunded. If you really are concerned about gaming, though, there are lots of other phones with much faster processors that do better than the A71. But if you want all around functionality, I'm sure the Mi 9T can't quite match the A71's capabilities.

khan, 26 May 2020Realme x2 proThings the A71 has and can do that the Realme X2 Pro doesn't have or can't do:
                            1. The A71 has micro sd expansion for up to 1TB of additional storage. For $80 or less, you can get a 512GB micro sd card for unlimited storage.
                            2. The A71 has FM radio. No data needed, very power efficient vs. using internet radio that wastes so much data and so much battery power.
                            3. The A71 has a significantly bigger more gorgeous and more immersive punch hole amoled display.
                            4. The A71 has a bigger 4500mAh battery that's guaranteed to last much longer and expected to result to slower battery wear. (Battery longevity is strongly associated with bigger capacity and longer charging cycles).
                            5. The A71 has Widevine L1 certification so you can watch Netflix and Google Play Movies in high definition. Widevine L1 certification not only allows high definition playback on phone screen, but also allows high definition screen sharing to a big screen TV or projector. Without it, your phone cannot screen share protected content (Netflix, etc.) to big screen TV.
6.The A71 has Samsung's 'Smart share' feature which automatically adjusts the aspect ratio of the phone screen to match the aspect ratio of the second screen. Thus, even if you have a 20:9 or whatever aspect ratio your phone has, you can wirelessly screen share 16:9 content from the A71 and get a full screen TV image. Many other non-Samsung phones screen share a 16:9 video to a 16:9 screen TV with black bars all around and there is nothing you can do about it because the phone screen sharing software is dumb.
                            7. The A71 has the ability to allow the user to choose LTE only and even goes further by allowing manual selection of one or more LTE bands that you want the phone to connect to. This is very important in areas with congested LTE bands where all other phones choose the strongest LTE band while the A71 user can actually tell the A71 phone to connect only to the LTE bands the user has manually selected to ensure the best LTE speeds. It will retain rhe setting unless you change it again! All other phones, non-Samsung ones, will automatically choose the strongest LTE signal even if it is very slow and congested - no option to manually select an LTE band or bands and force phone to stick with them.
                            8. The A71 can share its data connection via hotspot with HIDDEN SSID (hotspot name) so no one will know or see your hotspot name and keep asking whose hotspot it is and what's the password.
                            9. The A71, being a Samsung device has better security - its got additional Knox security on top of basic Android security updates. Being a newer phone than the Realme X2 Pro, it is guaranteed to get Android 11 and upcoming security updates for at least 2 years. The Realme X2 Pro is approaching end of life software support and with Oppo behind its software updates, it's certainly not going to be better than Samsung's software update support.

Juana, 26 May 2020has any one here experienced auto pressing in the screen pa... moreFirstly, be sure to update to the latest software/security patch and update all apps. Restart phone.

Check your power settings (Settings - device care - battery - power mode). Be sure it's set to 'Optimized' (not 'medium' or 'maximum' power saving), also, be sure 'Adaptive Power Saving' is DISABLED.

Having done all of the above, download an app ('Yet another multi touch test' or 'Multi touch tester app') from Playstore to validate if you really are experiencing phantom touches or are having panel sensitivity problems in specific/select areas of your A71 phone screen. If you see phantom touch problems or unregistered touches using those touch testing apps, then you have a problem with the touchscreen. Try these remedies:

Go to settings - display - touch sensitivity. Try recalibrating with touch sensitivity on. If recalibration doesn't work with touch sensitivity on, try recalibrating with touch sensitivity set to off.

You can also try changing your tempered glass protector. Some lower quality tempered glass screen protectors have surface imperfections that don't work well with specific touchscreen panels. You can try removing any screen protection and retest for touch issues using the apps I mentioned, or you can use another screen protector. I'm using Nillkin tempered glass because I like its thinness and its ultra clear transparency and uniformity without black borders that can cover the A71's screen like in other cheaper screen protectors.

You can also check your phone casing if it's too tight or encroaching on the tempered glass screen protector causing touch issues. Try removing it and see if the phantom touches disappear.

If touch problems only happen in a specific app/apps, (Ex. keyboard), the app may have a bug/issue with the A71. Email the developer or replace the app with an alternative.

If it's the same for all apps, that is, you still get phantom touches from your A71 despite changing/removing tempered glass protector, phone casing, or even after recalibrating touch with sensitivity set to off or on, and still, the touch screen test apps I mentioned still shows touch screen issues, factory reset phone as a last resort (backup files/contacts/messages first) and redo all the tests above.

If still the same, send your A71 for repair or replacement, showing the service technician that you are 100% sure your A71 has a hardware touch screen problem (demonstrate to the technician the problem using the touch test app/apps mentioned earlier).

Have your A71 replaced/serviced if it's under warranty.
