I routinely dim my A71 to those low brightness levels you mentioned (sometimes even up to 0-2%) when I'm in bed about to sleep, but I don't have the issue you are experiencing. You should really have the phone replaced if color setting adjustments don't solve it. I'm not aware of many A71 owners and users here who have the same issue. The Samsung charger, I can confirm to be relatively more common here than the screen problem you mentioned.

Anonymous, 13 May 2020There are still many people with 1080p TV, some even still ... moreI don't know about you but given the cheapness of micro sd storage, and cheapness of big screen 4K TV's nowadays,
nobody should be recording memorable events in their phones in 1080p anymore.
You'll only regret later when you view the footage in a big screen 4K or 8K tv. It's very easy to compress a 4K video to 1080p or 720p for Facebook uploads but you shouldn't delete the 4K footage. You can't upscale a low quality 1080p recording to 4K and expect glorious and spectacular results in a big screen 4K UHD or 8K TV.
Remember, 1080p has only 1/4th the resolution of 4K. Viewing in the small phone screen is OK, but to truly enjoy and relive the memory, only a big screen experience will suffice and for that, 4K is the ABSOLUTE minimum resolution one should record in in 2020!
And, I cannot say this enough, people should stop recording videos in Portrait mode. It's so STUPID to do so even if you really think/believe you'll never ever want to view those memorable events in a large screen tv ever.
You'll only regret it later, the moment 100" 4K TV's become so cheap you'll bang your head for not doing the right thing. No way to bring back 4K resolution to stupid PORTRAIT baby videos recorded in poor quality 1080p. Your teenager will blame you why you recorded such horrible portrait video of him/her when he/she was a baby.

Taking a pic through the phones camera app would be the solution for uploading pics to your snapchat story or instagram story/feed. I had heard that the reason for the blurriness may be that the snapchat app is taking a screenshot basically of the picture after it's taken? May have to do with the screen size not being compatible with the app?

Between a metal build, lower midrange processor (A7, A9) and smallish bezel-full screen with small battery vs. one with upper midrange processor, bigger, immersive punch hole display and bigger battery (A71), with the A71 even having a lower price than the A7 (around the same as the A9), I'm certainly not complaining. I'll take the plastic build A71 every single time.

I want to know if the screen tint issue in the display of A71 is a general problem. The issue appears when you are in dark mode with 5-10% of brightness and grey background like chrome, whatsapp, messages, etc. Please all that have this issue post here and try to send the issue to samsung in order to launch an update and fix this problem.

Cite your 'cheaper' than A71 alternative phone that you think is 'better' than the A71 in everything including price. Be specific with the phone brand name and specific model, and I'll tell you what the A71 has and can do that your 'better' cheaper, non-plastic alternative phone doesn't have and can't do.

gurpreetsingh, 11 May 2020WORST WIFI CONNECTIVITY/ NO SOLUTION IS BEING GIVEN BY SAMS... moreYou probably lack knowledge on Wi-Fi settings in Samsung phones. Here's what you should do before announcing to the world all Samsung phones are bad/defective and that nobody should buy them:
Try checking your Wi-Fi connection on another phone if it has internet connection. If it's Ok, make sure you're Samsung phone's wifi is on and connected. Also check battery level if not low and check if battery saving mode is enabled. Wifi can disconnect if idle or even not connect at all when battery is low or in battery saving modes. If still the same after corrections above, factory reset phone. If still same problem after reset, send phone to service center for repair.

WORST WIFI CONNECTIVITY/ NO SOLUTION IS BEING GIVEN BY SAMSUNG, DONT BUY ANY SAMSUNG PRODUCT. Every day I try to connect wifi, but it show no internet connectivity . my all 3 mobiles work fine and 2 laptops work fine, but this samsung mobile has many inbuilt apps like bixby which neither are uninstalled nor stopped and behave wrong. ever after factory reset they are not removed. there is no solution given by samsung. so I recommend not to buy any samsung mobile

A plastic frame is a very small reason compared to say you don't like the A71 because of poor screen or poor battery life, which, it's the opposite (it has great screen and battery life). Plastic is cheap, yes, but it has advantages in keeping the phone lightweight, more shock absorbing and you don't see it anyway as the phone is covered in a case.

On a positive side, it supports lots of image processing options (saturation, black point, white point, contrast, noise reduction settings, tone curve, etc.) so you can get exactly the output you want. It has astrophotography mode but I don't think it works. It also has option to enable ultrawide and telephoto lenses but enabling both will cause permanent app crash, you would need to go to 'app storage' and 'clear data' to get it to work again (reset to factory settings).
