JohnNy L, 17 Feb 2021Luckily you dont use an iphone..I wouldn't use an iphone even if it had a hole free/notch free, all screen display and even if given to me for free. I'll accept it though, as a gift, and sell it to buy a second tv - a 75" 4K UHD Samsung Smart TV. The TV is about the same price range, lasts 10x longer and gets used by more people for longer. The change (the TV is $900 in Amazon) I'll use for an additional 1 year Netflix subscription. 😁

reji, 15 Feb 2021is samsung galaxy a71 model made in vietnam original?Yes, Vietnam factory is one of the major supply of Samsung phone, because of low sales in China, Samsung decide to move most of the manufacturer or shall i call it assemble line to Vietnam, other reason been Vietnam has lower wages than China, but most of the component still import from China.

Is it still worth it, 15 Feb 2021Hello guys & girls, is this phone still worth to purch... moreI have an A71 and have been using it in the past. It's a great multi featured phone that will get updated for 2 more years (it was launched a year ago). I have since moved to the Poco F2 Pro because of the hole free screen (pop up selfie camera), IR blaster and 5G capability. If the A71 gets a successor that has at least a hole free screen (pop up selfie camera or flip up rear camera that duplicates as selfie cam), I'll buy it in an instant. The uninterrupted all screen display is really something I can't give up. Selfie camera holes just ruin the beauty of a phone with very thin bezels and all screen display. I can give up 5G (240-600Mbs+ mobile data speeds) even if it's available where I live, give up a flagship processor for an upper midrange processor, give up high refresh rate (120Hz/144Hz) screens and yes, give up even micro SD storage, IR blaster (master remote) and FM radio which I like so much, but I cannot live with a 2021 phone that still has ugly selfie camera hole/holes and thick bezels all around. Hole punch selfie cameras are so ugly and something I can't unsee, having used the Poco F2 Pro for several months.

is this phone still worth to purch... moreA71 is overall is good. Using since march 2020. No issue faced till yet. Neve experienced any hang or lag. I don't play too much games.
It has 6.7" screen size which is ok but i personally like the size of A51(easy to operate with 1 hand) So if you are ok with 6.7" then no issues.
Battery timing is good still now but cannot use for 2 days like xiaomi phones. Xiaomi phones have too much battery life.
I am getting 7-9 hours of screen on time on a71 with moderate 4g and social media. On WiFi, the battery is good. But overall i am getting 1 day battery life easily.
Amoled display is good, no flickering at night with low brightness BUT most of the models have yellow pale discolouring on grey background at low brightness. Mine has this defect on top left side of screen. Some users experienced this defect on some other areas.
I have 4g model 8gb 128gb. If you want to use 5g in 2021 then you should buy 5g supported phones.

Hello guys & girls,
is this phone still worth to purchase it for 290 Euro?
What I LIKE about the A71, is the nice display quality (SuperAmoled Plus), mid-range Snapdragon 730 (instead of the 9611 of the A51), 6GB RAM, 25W charging, OneUI, and 3 YEARS of Android updates (especially the software support!). So it will also get Android 13 in 2022/23. I don't have a problem with plastic build.
Other phones that i might consider is the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G, Samsung Galaxy A42 5G (but both will only get up to Android 12) and probably the new Samsung Galaxy A52 4G/5G (but only IF the price is around 300Euro). The next A72 4G/5G will cost around 450-500 Euro. So, the A72 is out of question...
Some another questions:
How is the battery after some months?
Does the battery holds with average usage 1 to 2 days? I don't play games on phones.
Does the display flicker, when you have the display at low brightness during the night?
I would like to get an answer from someone who actually uses an Galaxy A71.
Sadly, with the endless curfew in my country, i can't go to a shop and see it with my eyes. :(

I've been using this since June, and I've got nothing but positive things to say about this phone. Honestly, if the M51 is available here in the Philippines, I would've gotten that, but this is still very, very good. Granted, it was like $100 cheaper when I got here (I'm from the Philippines), so the price is good (same price as the Pixel 4A in the US).
