Hi i just sold my A71 reasons : samsung keep loading their with plenty useless bloatwares and uselless things to make the phone complicated ! it is a miss opportunity to shine because actualy the phone is quite good ! but it doesnt the high price ! I advise not to buy

Samsung A71 is better than Reno 4 pro in every respect except charging. Now charging has vanished after I have factory reset the A71. Lets see if charging bug raises its ugly head again. So far so good. Samsung one UI is better than oppo's Color OS. Reno 4 Pro is sleek and feels slippery when u hold it in your hand, not to mention the lightweight. I have observed stutters in Reno 4 pro but not one in A71.

Most midrange phone reviews focus too much on camera and processor power/performance when upper midrange phones like the A71 have already more than good enough cameras for the typical Facebook/Instagram use, and more than enough processor power to power 99.9% of most midrange phone uses.
There's too much focus on IP rating, high refresh rate screens and wireless charging, as 'advantage' when dedicated micro sd storage expansion, headphone jack, FM radio and IR blaster are 100% more useful to a wider range of midrange users than those other flashy 'flagship' features that only make the phone cost a lot more while leaving out more widely used features in the midrange segment.
If a manufacturer wants to excel in midrange phone sales, it should cater to a wider audience which has a very wide/very varied use case scenario and needs. The more extensive the available features, the better. Midrange phones therefore must have FM radio, headphone jack, dedicated micro sd slot in addition to dual SIM, IR blaster, huge battery life and varied screen options: Bigger sized screen options are paramount in midrange phones. Manufacturers can make them IPS to reduce costs of a bigger screen while maintaining 1080p resolution, while going with capacitive scanners at the sides or back and yes, even screens with no punch holes or notches and phones with plastic body rather than metal, to attract a wider range of users in the midrange segment without adding too much cost. High refresh rate screens, IP rating, wireless charging, top of the line processor power, amoled screen with underdisplay fingerprint scanner add GREATLY to the final cost of the phone, resulting to a midrange phone losing appeal (becomes too costly) or if it retains them, will result to a lot of the more nifty features mentioned above (FM radio, headphone jack, IR blaster, etc.), being sacrificed/lost to bring the cost lower to appeal to the midrange market.

oubaid, 17 Sep 2020i hope Samsung put a 90hz display on the A72 be case the on... moreI'm actually looking forward to a punch hole free display in the future A71 successor like in my Poco F2 Pro, a bigger, 6.9" screen (still perfectly flat), and an IR blaster. I don't care about higher refresh rate screen at all. 4K 60fps video and manual focus lock and exposure lock in video would be really important as well as focus hunting and missed focus is really annoying when recording videos.

Samsung provided charger and cable are low quality. If those don't solve your charging problem, return your phone and ask for a replacement or refund.
