Anonymous, 24 May 2021ok if we left the socs and talk only about ui , samsung ui ... moreah i see your point and i agree.i suppose its my wishful thinking that companies can stop using 4gb of my 8gb ram and 6 of my 8 cpu cores for background junk and animation but you are right. as for batteries yeah material is everything and if we can make graphene batteries cheap enough power draw will be thing of the past. either way good conversation its nice speaking to someone who knows their stuff.

    zees, 24 May 2021i agree completely with your point that 870 of course a bet... moreok if we left the socs and talk only about ui , samsung ui is more stable but as xiaomi's it's too heavy for midrange smartphones and you won't get the best smoothness like plaghships as they use better processors sorry if I turned to them again but they soft and hardware work together I know that strong hardware with not stable ui will damage the experience but I prefer the more safe option with better hardware and waiting the software updates to make the experience better , and for the battery mah numbers aren't everything battery's materials quality and technology used in it is more important than it's size

      Anonymous, 24 May 2021heat throttling is important point but it won't decrea... morei agree completely with your point that 870 of course a better chip no argument there. im only arguing with your point about it being old and/or under powered but sure i think with my with my hardware engineering background i see good hardware for the budget but i think we should be pressing the point that ui is getting abit clunky if it was up to me i would move focus away from chipsets because i believe even midrangers are more than powerful enough for mobile and move it towards battery development and ui optimization. would you agree or am i missing your point?

        zees, 24 May 2021not true my friend 720g isn't outdated at all. let me ... moreheat throttling is important point but it won't decrease the performance of 870 which is 2.3 times stronger than 720g to the limit that they will be close or even compared , the throttling may decrease the performance for 20% but even after that 870 is still way way stronger than 720g and for the UI xiaomi said that it'll be better in next updates , you can fix software by the updates but if the hardware was a weakness point it can't be fixed of updated and every new android and apps update is heavier and requires more effort from the device and in this case software ( samsung UI is heavy and have many animations ) and weak but less heating soc won't help you like far stronger hardware with lighter software

          Anonymous, 24 May 2021the UI may serve you until the next android update and star... morenot true my friend 720g isn't outdated at all. let me use ps4 as an analogy the cpu in this phone is probably around 45% more efficient (less heat generation per cycle) and has more powerful throughput than the ps4. obviously the ps4 gpu is better but i digress it is the heat generation and power draw that hold smartphone chipsets back. in basic terms this phone is more powerful and efficient than nintendo switch its just android games and ui is so hard to optimize for because of so many variants of chipsets.

What about the call quality, i mean the volume... morei like your question because so many people forget that calling is probably the main purpose of a phone and get caught up with specs instead however it is superb call quality and i live in a spot that is well known for bad signal/reception quality i really dont think you can go wrong.

              Bebochekov, 24 May 2021Laugh all you want but the Samsung A72 has a better UI, cam... morethe UI may serve you until the next android update and start crashing and lagging , sd 720g is outdated for 2021 it was suitable for 2019 or early 2020 phones but now the better soc rules as the UI can be updated and fixed but you can't get an update for your soc , I bought a phone not only a camera and again the soc processes the photo and video quality , samsung in A series sell phones suitable for about a year and after that the UI will be so heavy for their weak socs

For your needs i would go with the a72 note 10 is amazing by all standards. but for battery display arguably camera hardware and future proofing (software/hardware updates) a72 is better. not to mention the 720g chipset while not nearly as brute force powerful, it has better instruction set. But to be honest they are both really good phones cant go wrong with either. however this is obviously my opinion as a hardware engineer not gospel so take it with a grain of salt

                        hi guys i want to ask should i go for note 10 pro or a72?on 2 years contract a72 is same like note 10 pro for cash only.i had s9 plus but it had heating problem.im not a gamer so i need better battery,camera and speackers because im listening a lot of music.i like one ui more than miui but xiaomi i think gives better specs.so how are these phones in everyday usage?does they have heating problem?

                                I have to buy a mobile for my day to day use. Mostly calls, emails and WhatsApp. Don't play games but frequebtly watch YouTube and Netflix. I would like to know two things:
                                1. Will it serve the purpose without any hiccups?
                                2. How is the call quality

                                        Really good phone amazing display. The people moaning about the SoC know nothing other that tech spreadsheets which is different to real world performance. Basically in normal use it feels legit flagship, gaming its perfect for casual gamers runs everything in tested so far only slightly worse than flagship but let's be honest if you want a dedicated gaming machine get a switch. All in all A+
