    Got my first update earlier today (security patch level: April 1, 2021). New features that I've noticed so far in camera:
    - Night mode can now be used with ultra wide and front cameras
    - UHD 30 fps recording can be selected for all lenses

    CMIIW. I'll post some more if I notice other changes.

          I was looking forward to getting this handset but no one in the UK seems to be stocking it apart from Samsung themselves. According to Samsung it was released in March but zero advertising or mention of it in the UK. Seems a bit odd.

Btw the S5 neo had water resistance (introduced at around €350 here), old phone but very rare feature

                My 48 hour A72 review

                Pro:
                1) Great display, silky smooth 90hz experience. I had no idea it'd feel this good
                2) The plastic back is smooth and
                3) Solid strong build, feels great to hold.
                4) Water resistance (I didn’t test too much)
                5) Great low light camera. Better than the night mode of Oneplus 8T.
                6) Better than most selfie cameras I've ever used.
                7) The telephoto camera is really good. It takes much better macro shots than the macro camera.

                Con:
                1) Some edges around the frame are rough, you can feel few small "Cheapness" after using the phone for 2-3 hour
                2) Weird camera software issues; Night Mode takes worse shot than Low Light Mode.
                3) WebPages with adds lags occasionally
                4) The Search function in Settings is slower than my 3 year old Honor 9 lite. It’s probably also another software issue.

                Conclusion:
                It's a great value phone but the phone has some rough cheap edges near the frame. The weird camera software issues makes the experience a little annoying.  Highly recommended for budget buyers who are looking for an Overall Good and a great camera phone

                        Minu, 22 Apr 2021Then why did they stop putting it after Galaxy S2 then star... moreProbably to recude costs, super amoled plus screen with a higher refresh rate could be too expensive to produce for samsung in a IP67 certified phone sold under 500e (what is actually pretty rare and remind this certification, that the A71 doesnt have, has a cost for exemple).
                        Pentile matrix are cheaper (green subpixels shared, so less of them) but still make great displays, only beaten in quality by RGB in little details in high res with high constrat (like blood veins in the eyes for exemple, so nothing big).

                            Super Amoled = Pentile pixels matrix, which is "bad"
                            Super Amoled Plus = Classic RGB pixel matrix, which is better

                              Just bought the samsung A72. Excellent phone; very nice stereo speakers, high performance for gaming with the amazing samsung game launcher and good camera. Like the design and colour of the phone. Nice super amoled display.

The Velvet is not THAT much cheaper new, has a worse camera, worse display, and will be discontinued(update wise) sooner than the A72. I doubt there will be any customer support after LG completely shutters their phone division, if not barely..

                                    IP67 is a must have feature for cleaning of a smartphone but i can't understand why people don't care about this feature...just look at poco f3 which is almost a perfect phone but lacks IP67 rating...
