They take parts from different manufacturers and contract them to other factories to assemble it. So yeah, there isn't a single OEM is building a phone 100% on their own.

camera zoom in 10x needs to upgrade to 20x and need to re focus the camera in zoom..

One of these days I meet a friend.
He has A73 with 108 mp camera by specs.
But it was so poor for 108 mp.
This is how samsung cheats for mp numbers.

they've removed the headphone jack even for this midrange phone w/ little improvements. samsung has become cheap apple wannabe

Apart from the camera layout, everything else feels like Samsung themselves didn't manufacture. That's the sad truth

Usually, phones that ODM makes will most likely spot a similar design with other phones, as you can see in the case of Chinese brands. Since none of the phone designs from other brands is the same/similar to the A series (including the inner layout), I believe it's not made by ODM but rather by Samsung as an OEM but then contracted it to other factories, just like the relationship of Apple and Foxconn.

Minu, 31 Jan 2023Pretty unfortunate to see that Samsung phones made since 20... moreSame here. I came from J3 Pro and then A71 4G. Im very satisfied with these units that is why I stick with Samsung Brand. But now with this A73 5G, I'm not sure if it is still Samsung or already SCAMsung.

air, 31 Jan 2023That is exactly what's happening with our A73 5G excep... morePretty unfortunate to see that Samsung phones made since 2018 by Huaqin are having numerous quality issues. Even the J3 I owned didn't have any problems with modern Samsungs.
I've noticed this in all other post-2018 Samsung phones but never expected this issue to be this big.
