old A7 is Mali-T628MP6 and new A7 is Mali-T720MP2. Mali-T628MP6 GPU is far better than Mali-T720MP2. Maybe A7(2016) is Value Edition (VE) of old A7.

i think samsung 7580 will totally make this phone great . rather use the power hungry 615 . which make my A7 duo charge 2 times per day. 615 only will run great when data turn off , GPS turn off & wifi on only , its will last u 18 mins screen on 0% drop.
on the other hand , i really hope samsung can come out 4 - 5000mah ,duo sim model . because GPS for this A7 , 2 hours will cost this phone 48% battery life. compare my huawei x1 5000mah , 1 hours only 8% to 10% for google map
