Even the battery of A8 drains very fast compared to A7. A7 has better data speed and call reception compared to A8. A8 has call drop and hanging issues.

A8/A8+ were not an upgrade over the C9 Pro. Since I have used both, I can say this with confidence.
16 MP vs 24 MP doesn't matter, Samsung gimped midrange cameras a lot and only after the A6 have they started paying attention to this. A8/A8+ takes lousy low light images. A7 is also not great but better than the A8/A8+ any way.
The A8 series is made completely redundant by the launch of A7 2018 and A8 Star.

stop being blinded by marketing ,A7 is a inferior phone compared to A8 ...there is a reason for it being cheaper.
To be honest I even doubt that main 24 MP camera compared to the 16 MP of the A8... megapixels are not all that counts in a camera.

Full Review A7 2018:
Pros:
- Fast processor (SD636 comparable)
- Excellent modem, call quality, signal reception, speeds
- Good speaker, Good earphone output
- Scene Optimizer is very good
- Wide Angle shots are useful
- Video image stabilization works as does hyperlapse
Bad:
- Build quality worse than A6+
- Both cameras image output have worse details than A6+
- No fast charging
- The Super Pixel Technology never actually kicks in unless you start shooting in 6 MP mode, and even then the difference is not that great
- Lags as much as A6+, UI needs optimization
Overall, if camera and music are your concerns and not performance, just stick with A6+ or go for A8 Star (I really doubt the A9).
If performance is important, try the A9 or A8 Star.

I am unable to play Netflix in HD on Samsung A7 (2018). DRM info is showing Widevine certification as L1. My plan is HD. Still unable to play Netflix in HD, same for Amazon Prime Video. Any suggestion?? I specifically bought this phone after seeing in news & launch event that it can play Netflix in full HD. Very disappointing. Feeling cheated by Samsung.
