I bought S8 at a year end sale in USD 560 , this phone's launch price is too high.
people shoould keep their eyes peeled for good deal on S8. Looks, specs and feature wise it is much better.

I tried the phone. It felt like a G6 in some way. S8 had a better feeling. By the way, if you don't understand how I tried it, I'll explain you. There was the fully working A8 and A8+ in the Samsung Store in UAE but without a price tag.

Serggius, 04 Jan 2018A8 and A8+ both have Exynos 7885 with 14 nm LPE Technology,... moreOh, ok. Mate 10 here I come😂

6x1.6 + 2x2.2 cpu? i think A7 2017 with 7880 (8x1.9 cores) is better than this, most of the cores are slow compared to previews model.
Also i would've liked a dual rear camera

As I like to have music n video collection with me always from my laptop, I'm preferring it due to its dedicated card slot . Little bit puzzling due to its thickness, its not slim. Like the rest features.

AnonD-727772, 02 Jan 2018Comparing this with the s9, what do you guys think?. Overall not a lot of difference between the S9 & A8 phones other than GPU/CPU Power at the cost of battery life (The S9 is much more power hungry then the A8 even when the S9 is in medium power saving mode!)

The S9 will give you better Upload Download Speeds, Optical Image Stabilization & Electronic Image Stabilization, 5G Cellular (No guarantee that the SnapDragon or Exynos versions in the A8 & A8+ will be 5G ready for 2020!)

My Mother has the 2017 A7 and I have the 2017 S8+ mine has a smoother interface but the battery life of the A7 is just crazy (And while the A7 is slightly slower it never lags or stutters and you do not notice the speed difference if you do not have them side by side) and in reality I almost never use the S8+ to the full extent apart from RAM 4 gigs is not enough on a modern flagship min 6 but 8 is better for a device that cost $1,349!
