A8 should have received Android 8.1.0 and not 8.0.0. which was a kind of Brussels sprouts! Too bad for the A5 2017 as it remained at Android 8.0.0 and not even got 8.1.0

Android Pie with One UI is great on this phone, it was slightly more smoother with Android Oreo but it's still a good update.

I have just received on July 14 update to 9.0 Pie One UI and security patch June 1, 2019 for CSC ORO Romania and the battery keeps the whole day of use without problems The phone does not discharge for no reason. Everything works without the slightest problem!

June security update makes me happy. Battery life improved, SoT 5 hours and still 40% left. Good.

I hate pie after installing there is a big issue in my galaxy s8 2018. Call volume is too low to listen. I have to on the speaker on every incoming and outgoing call. Are listening Samsung?

Galaxy A8 2018 is great phone by samsung. But after installing pie. There is a big issue of hearing call speaker. Every incoming and outgoing call volume is too low to listen. I have to on the speaker on every call. I hate the 9 pie. Oreo 8.1 was best. Plz solve this issue. Are u listening samsung?

Since i got the pie update, the A8 is an amazing budget phone. I got mine for £300 and its is with it. The 16MP camera is very detailed and sharp and does not over or under expose the image. It shoots 1080p video but i would have liked 4K. Also the video stabilisation is a very useful feature. 3000mah battery easily gets me through the day especially with Samsung's battery optimisation features. This phone is also IP68 which is a very handy feature to protect your phone. Only thing wouldn't mind is wireless charging and slow motion video recording.

Also saw a video where A8 has the same battery performance as the S8. I'm not a heavy user (Facebook, Insta, Snap, YT). I am just kinda dissapointed that my current phone can't play a videolike say 15 min without losingmore than 25% of battery... And the shutdown is unpredictable sometimes at 20% sometimes above 35%...
