Galaxy A8 2018 is made to fight iPhone 8, therefore its price is bit expensive. Beside that, A8 2018 is the best mid-range smartphone with a conservative classic design.

I mean, the upcoming Galaxy A9 (2018) will have Android 8.0 and not even the 8.1 version of Oreo. It's like a Samsung rule that their flagship S series should be the first to have the latest android OS out of the box. Only the Samsung phones to be released after Galaxy S10 will have Android Pie from the get-go. So unless they move the release of A8 series to April, the Galaxy A8 (2019) will most likely come with Oreo in Jan next year.

Maybe, but I wouldn't count on that. Samsung is prone to be late with updates and such.
