Processor wise, do a quick comparison of Exynos 8895 vs 7885. 8895 has 4 Mongoose M1 processors, which are tweaked Cortex A73s (which are faster obviously). The 7885 has only 2 A73 cores. And you're telling 7885 is faster? Do you realize how wrong you are? BTW, both of them have a quad core A53 cluster.
Same story with GPU power. T880 MP12 of the S7 crushes the G71 MP2 of A8. In GFX 3.1 Manhatten 1080p offscreen test, S7 gets 25 FPS, and the A8 gets 9 FPS.
And don't believe those useless speed tests. S7 is an old phone, and everyone knows old Samsung phones tend to slow down unless you do a factory reset. S7 got the Oreo update, and after a factory reset, it'll be faster than A8 even in your speed tests.
And camera wise, we all know how good the S7 still is, and how bad the A8 is compared to the S8 (which itself is a slight improvement over S7).

Exynos 8890... moreyeah dude u damn right , s7 processor was better but remember i have s7 edge on me but the screen got a lot of pink line of death , cost about 300$ to replace the screen with the new one and the pink line getting worst .. first it's just show one line and after 3 months it came with many of it , and it was so annoying when you typing and streaming or even playing game

Even though the S7 is old, overall it's still much better than the A8. If one can get the S7 for cheaper than the A8, it's a no brainer to get that instead of the A8.

Faster autofocusing, proper manual mode, OIS, large pixel size, 4K recording, etc. Never heard of anyone complaining about yellow tones. Anyhow, you can always adjust white balance.
Front camera yeah, A8 should be better.

Only in videos s7 is little bit better....performance is the same..a8 faster in gaming...see that in you tube...

I have an A8 too, and I get 8 to 9 hours SOT, phone only get warm only when you charge it or when you update several apps Fingerprint reader works fast and is always on.
First read other opinions. Maybe yoy got a faulty phone, but you can't say it's a bad phone just because you had a bad time with it. The only thing you'll do is to mislead potential buyers which are truly interested in this phone.

And i has s6 and a5 2017 before a8...and trust me only on videos recording and a little bit on low light s6 is better than a5...a5 2017 can shot a great photos on daylight....and a8 iss batter than both on everything....

Advantages of A8 are IP68 water resistance,dual front cameras,24bit speaker,back glass,better resolution,better design.
