Dear Readers,
Never buy this series. You never get updates for this. I Purchased A 7 2017 on nov 2017. So As per my experiance never buy this series. Go for 'S' series thats good and get regular updates.

Screen size: bear in mind that when you watch 16:9 videos on galaxy A8, the size of the video is actually 5". Bottom line, A8 has quite small screen and is quite compact phone by today's standards.

Daki, 05 Mar 2018S7 or a8? And why?Both are OK If you can get them for around 350 eur. Otherwise not a smart purchase. S7 has better GPU, for gaming, and faster storage. Consider also LG G6, is better than both of these phones. I own A8, by the way...

And coast for me 350 euros in my country, where you can get one with is specs? Attention, with quality materials and software too

Battery tests of gsmarena often are misleading, also the comparisons with other devices here are not very meaningful for real life.
I had experiences with the following handhelds before buying th A8:
Galaxy S
Galaxy Note 1, 2 and 4
HTC One M8
Xperia Z1 compact and Z3 compact
LG G2
Moto X-play DS
Honor 6 plus, 8 and 9
Xiaomi Mi4S
Galaxy S7
iphone 7 and 8
and I never had a device with such bad battery life before. (2, sometimes 3 percent drain in every hour only using standby-mode (always-on display, dualsim and wlan are activated)
The Galaxy A8 is a very good midranger, I am using it since 2 weeks now. But please do not buy it, if you want a device with good battery live. Do not compare the test-result above (92 hours endurance rating) with the shown endurance rating of other devices here. I promise you, you will be disappointed.
