Judging by the looks and early specs, this looks like it's going to be a great mid-ranger. But I dont think that samsung should put an infinity display on mid rangers...yet. Because people who are looking for a phone that don't know much about cell phones will see the bezel-less design on this mid-ranger and automatically think that its the s8 or note 8. But when they buy this they'll be disappointed by the ram management, power, camera, lack of special features (iris scanner and 3d touch on the home button), screen resolution, not much storage space, and possibly but probably not battery life. Maybe in 2019 samsung can put a bezel-less display on the A and J series.

MhedYaseen, 18 Nov 2017Thanks for the suggestion mateAlthough you might actually think of reconsidering purchasing the s7 coz im pretty sure the a5 is only gonna cost around 400 bucks; the phone looks amazing and the specs look decent...the e7885 (a5's) chip is probably not that far behind sd 821 (s7's) in terms of performance....

It's confirmed and official. A5 and A7 ships with Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of box. 2018 phone launching with 2016 os with slow updates probably fall 2018 update to 8.0

pretty sure the exynos 7885 chip was clocked at 2.1 ghz and it has a mali-g71 gpu

Hope will come with OIS.. led notif is not so important becaouse he have AOD. And I like if the screen will not be curved, just 18,5:9. Thats way will be more durable than S8.. This phone will be very nice and good for 2018. Can't wait....
