Gigi, 01 Oct 2020The camera lens rattles for about 5-10 seconds when camera ... moreI also have this issue, usually I would give the phone a shake to get rid of the rattle. It works for me, so consider giving it a try, but I couldn't guarantee it would work for everyone else though.
Didn't know that so many people have this issue as well, I thought it was me being too clumsy with the phone and dropping it several times lmaooo

Thanks beforehand!!Don't want to disappoint you, but there will be no more updates for this phone as it already received 3 major software versions (Android 8, 9 and 10). No other Samsung phone at this price point has received any more software updates than this in the past. However, Android 10 on this phone is quite stable and I wouldn't mind using it for another year before upgrading to another phone.

The camera lens rattles for about 5-10 seconds when camera app is opened and the picture is also fuzzy till the rattling stops. This a hardware issue that many people are facing (see other comments below). Regret putting my money on a product that is defective, yet Samsung sold it to unsuspecting customers!

I'm using samsung galaxy a8 star since jan 2019 it has a great performance till now i havent found any issue. I liked built quality of this phone which is better than plastic frame. If your priority is only for camera then dnt buy this phone else choose other Aseries phones.

The screen has a purple ghosting problem while scrolling. If you are scrolling and have a solid black image against a white background, you will notice a purple trail that briefly appears. Really annoying because it happens in dark videos also.

I can't believe that Samsung actually released a phone knowing it had a defect! Had I known this before purchasing I wouldn't have got it.
