Samsung Galaxy A8 Star launched in the Philippines
It turns out that the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, which we've seen in a few leaks, is the Samsung Galaxy A9 Star intended for markets outside of China.
The phone shares identical specs with the Galaxy A9 Star, which went on sale in China a few days ago, and will launch in the Philippines on June 14.
On the front, the Galaxy A8 Star has a 6.3-inch 2160x1080px Super AMOLED while inside there's a Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. There are 64GB of built-in memory that can be expanded through the microSD card slot.
There are three cameras on the Galaxy A8 Star - a 16MP f/1.7 + 24MP f/1.7 dual camera and a 24MP f/2.0 selfie camera. The battery is an ample 3,700mAh unit.
The Galaxy A8 Star should carry the same CNY 2,999 (€400, PHP 24,800) price tag in the Philippines as well. It will be up on retail shelves on June 14 and will likely arrive in South Korea and South East Asia within a few weeks' time.

Nokia 7+ instead of this bloated overpriced phone.

Still expensive. You can get other phones with decent specs and half the price here in the Philippines like Xiaomi, Honor and Asus.
