I am using :
> My Father's old Nokia 3510 which he was using sinceJan 2005
> Nokia 5320 expressmusic since Oct 2008
> Nokia N79 since Feb 2009
> Videocon V1305 since Nov 2009
> Nokia 1280 since Sept 2010
> My Mother's Nokia asha 202 bought on Sept 2012 at Kuwait
> Nokia N8 since Sept 2012
> Nokia 808 since Nov 2013
> Samsung Note 4 since May 2016
> Samsung A9 pro 2016 since Dec 2017
> Samsung guru music 2 bought for my Father on Feb 2019
> Samsung A70 bought on May 2019 (being used by my Mother)
Now I am going to buy Samsung S20 FE 5G for myself.
Except A70, all are old series phones from various companies which were durable. The phones that come now a days are not durable.
(Note : I never bashed A9 pro 2016 handset anywhere here)

Still on my hand from 2016, a good companion for navigation using google offline maps, go to aeroplane mode to preserve power & to avoid overheat. Battery still reliable untill now. 1 day it will be handed over to my son.

I'm still using it. I like A9 pro 2016 so much. Just a minus point will be, each time apps updates, the apps in external storage will be shifted to internal storage automatically. It makes my internal storage full :(

my Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro 2016 on Android 8 Oreo Performs just like bought Yesterday,In Performance.Battery.Signal.Camera at ofcourse the beauty of Super Amoled Display.Years Counted and Still Counting.Good Good Job Samsung!

I am still using this phone since 2016. And It was still working, but it's camera lens is now blurred and in some portion of the alluminum frames had gotten some smeared part due to old age. And buttons on sides are all sinked-in but still functional. Battery still long-lasting and durable. Still 7/10.

Use AMKETTE charging cable. This itself will charge at 1800 mAh. But it is not recommended. Use AMKETTE USB hub and charge it slowly. Only this is good for the battery
I will old Samsung original white charger cable and use it for charging my phone for 16 hours (only 1 SIM on and 25% manual brightness, 30 seconds display off - mobile data bluetooth, location, wifi, wifi scanning are OFF) at 300 to 400 mAh.
If I use the AMKETTE cable and use the phone while charging, it will charge at 200 mAh. If the display gets off, it will charge at 1800 mAh

I am still using A9 pro since June 2017.Working very good only fingerprint scanner is not working as before.Fast charging, battery health, display, speakers, microphone are all good and in perfect condition.
No doubt Samsung make durable,long lasting and value for money smartphones.

But if they discontinued to bad because the software will be remain the last update in 2020.

A9prouser, 15 May 2021They discontinued because they failed at updated the softwa... moreI have disabled fast charging and chargig with old Samsung original charging cable that charges at below 500 mA if the phone is not used and kept idle (bluetooth off, location off, 30% manual brightness, either mobile data or WiFi ON, all unused applications at force stopped state).
If I want to use my phone when charging, I will use Amkette original charging cable that charges at 1800 mA when not using the phone and at 200 to 400 mA when using the phone (browsing, watching offline videos via the mx player pro app etc).
