Out of which some will be used up system to install and run applications. So your 3.3 GB is used by the system to install itself and some applications and ~200 MB of RAM is used to run those applications.

weird when i bought this phone it only has 555mb ram and 1.2gb internal memory? but in the specs it has 768mb ram and 4gb internal memory?

i got it i n white colour and it's perfect... i love it. It's a small beast in midrange phones..
