I updated my Ace 2 today to Jelly Bean using Odin. Brilliant it is and brings new life into the phone. It is smooth and fluid. It was the official firmware but not from Samsung site I followed a tutorial video here

The release date is april 1, and release it only in one country dude, only in portugal, and now its may 1, and its only available in portugal up to now. So where is jb. And they set again a date and yet tentative to official release. Like s advances dude. The official release is jan. And only now the they get the jb. Its super slow dude.

They may not have the best customer service out there but you can't expect them to have all the answers right?! The official samsung released the official jellybean to galaxy ace 2 on 1st April 2013. they are sending out in batches. For what i know is that asian countries like us would probably get it much much later than others. So it's really worth the wait cos we should really expect very little as we are from asia. Yes they are crazy over their flagship phones and may seem to not care about us. But they do that's why they release the update. And oh, the update will then passed on to our respective samsung phili, indo, spore, aus and so on. And if ur country approve, then u will get it. Slow but surely u will get it.

I heard a lot of news, especially in Indonesia existing firmware updates for jelly bean, just connect your ace 2 with samsung Kies and notification will appear, and then upgrade. is that true? (portugal firmware maybe)

Samsung can lauch ace 3 that can runs 4.1.2 known as jeally bean thats why samsung cannot release jeally bean for ace 2.But ace 2 can upgraded jeally bean into manually but take note upgrade manually there are some bugs in your phone.

I'm still waiting too for the update. Still, if it doesn't come, I still like this phone. Something that we need is a reliable phone (fast, useful, long lasting battery), not always the one with the newest software. And it's already in my hand now. :-)

They noy care about our feeling forget the update and sell our phone and buy another brand that keep their promises. To satisfy the custumer not to the company to make profit they make a fake promise.
