1. Display colors y(256K colors) Ace (16M colors). Ace has almost 64 times more colors. In practically u can see this difference we u hold both the phones together.
2. Screen size Y (3.0 inch) and Ace (3.5 inch)
Again a good difference.
3. Camera Y (2MP) and Ace (5MP)
The important point i want to make is if you have budget you should go for Ace. It definitely adds value for the amount it charges extra. Otherwise Y is also not at all a bad option considering the budget constraint.

this fone sucks sometimes my sim works and then sometimes it doesnt and its says no service.... i cant txt or kal wen this happens!!
When buying this fone i thought it good bt its not

Excellent phone! I bought it, and i loved! Awesome performance, very good screen. If you upgrade the Android to 2.3, the video recording quality increases from QVGA 15fps to VGA 30fps, excellent!
I recommend, a lot!

acutal i owned a galaxy ace... but my friend bought a galaxy y... but the difference is only for camera and display... and the cost is for y 8000 and ace is 14000..
so samsung realy sucks

Also there are some issues with the wifi, keeps disconnecting for some reason.
