Have been using it for about 2 weeks now. The battery life is pretty fair, 2 whole days on normal use, 1 to 1.5 day(s) for multitasking/internet. Pretty snappy and very handy at times. It doesn't tend to lag pretty often, and the big screen and responsiveness is a charm. It definitely has more pros than cons.

hi guys..Im so impress and well satisfied on Samsung Ace..this one is superb!!!for all those who have a problem and bad reaction about the battery..well.all android phone is not good in battery life..if u want a long lasting battery..buy a phone that not an Android OS..ciao

I have to charge my battery every two hours
:-(:-(;-);-);-);-):-(:-(:-(:-(:-( but given the multitasking that I do it is expected ...stop complaining guys ..u ppl knew what u were going to expect when u bought this phone !!!! its a great device but for its camera and battery !!!but I have got used to it..and I LOVE MY ACE !!!!!!

battery saving tips
1) Go to "settings" ( SAMSUNG GALAXY Ace GT S5830)
> "Location and security"
> My location:
2)Un check-Un select "Use wireless networks"
3) Never update your backup (password) to your gmail account.
4) diable the data pack for some time and use it when needed.
5) Shut down apps which were running in the background like facebook, maps etc
6)keep static wallpapers as far as possible instead of live one's and also try keeping the light timeout to 15secs.
7)turn off wifi, Auto-Rotate, Bluetooth, brightness and others to help you minimize your battery usage.
8)Download Android Booster from Market (its Free). And install to your phone
9)3g is THE worst thing for zapping battery, especially if you are in an area with a poor signal! Your handset has spent all night trying to connect & re-connect to 3g, so use only 2g network and when needed switch on to 3g.
Also, give the battery a chance to get used to your usage pattern
10)diable auto-sync and the push-messagesauto-sync and the push-messages
11)A weak network signal consumes much battery life, since the phone’s always trying to search for a network or switch between GPRS/3G. So better disable the data pack
12)A brighter screen consumes much more power than a darker one , so it’s a good idea to reduce the brightness of the screen as much as possible
13)The processes of many apps and programs are left open after you close them (especially when you exit by pushing the Menu button), thus continuing to consume the battery life of your Android smartphone. Use the Task Manager or the Advanced Task Killer to kill all those processes.
14) Goto Contacts Click on Options Button (on the left side of one and only button on phone). Click on Account. Make sure to Uncheck "background data".

1. WiFi,
2. BT,
3. GPS.
Besides these once or wice in a day keep clearing your RAM in order to close any unwanted apps. which may be running in baground. Works for Me

I just can't understand why Samsung said that the camera of this phone is "5 MP " ...
I have been using this phone for 10 months and its camera is a disgrace !!!"!sucks to the core !!!!! maybe its the ppi but nevertheless it sucks !!!"!!:-(:-( X-(.X-(

If we would replace the battery of samsung galaxy ace to 2000mAh , will it cause any harm or trouble to the phone ?

a poor battery performance can ruin everything. Just like Galaxy Ace. I'll swap this phone with another cheaper phone but better performance. Never buy thins phone.
