finally sold this crap phone for 10k on ebay.once i will move to nokia windows phone or get a next gen n8 when it comes.

about the battery life..
charge your phone until the word "Charged" appears don't unplug the charger when it says "Charging 99%"
i always charge my phone on my computer using usb.. and i have very great battery life..

Advantages
: budget friendly android phone
: runs all necessary apps
: better than NokiaC6
Disadvantages
: battery life way to.less
: sometimes get quite slow
thats all the conclusion i can make and if anyone asks me about this phone i would say go for it ....its not great in all aspecrs but it is good enough for competition with other phone

power+home button and wait for recovery menu......

AnonD-15229, 19 Dec 2011i brought ace yesterday..... plz tell me how to improve bat... more1. Well for improving your battery, you would have to set brightness to low. I just bought it (3 days ago) and it lasts like 6 hours if I play games or apps all the time.
2. Charge it only when it runs out of battery or is near to end. Charge it for maximum 3-4 hours. When you got this phone you should have charge it for 12 hours. At least that's what the guy at mobile selling store said.
3. When you're not using it, put it on sleep mode, obviously.

It's a very good phone for price you're offering. It's more than good! All apps and games rune fine and smoothly. No lag! Camera is good, well, not the best, but still pretty darn good. For the money you're offering, its totally worth it.

MY Humble opinion - I used Galaxy GT S I 9000- and It is good in video recording,playing,pic shots,and has a memory of 16gb+16gb.with a fast processor.
Inspite of these advantages the drawbacks still continue in many sets of samsung - otherwise, samsung would have swallowed all other brands in a gulp-
THEIR BATTERY LIFE IS HORRIBLE JUST ONE DAY but of course you can play some multimedia or record videos.
MOST APPLICATIONS WORK SLOW and irritating and take time even after removing unwanted programs.
Some important mfg defects remain unnoticed unchecked and THEY DONT BOTHER ABOUT FEEDBACKS?
Galaxy SII my friend bought and it sucked and hanged! He had to get a replacement fon during the time of warranty. They are rushing thru the tech. FOR THE PRICE YOU PAY ACE S 5830 is good.
On your side your duty is toput a PAID ANTI VIRUS SOFTWARE. Do not put more new programmes from android market. Use, uninstall and then put new pgms. Memory may not be enof. Battery may be poor as per the comments herein,seen. There is still space to grow.

Anu, 19 Dec 2011Hi guys m going 2 buy samsung galaxy ace or galaxy y, tel m... moregalaxy y is almost half the price of ace..but it has slightely better ram 290mb n 830mhz cpu than ace..but i dnt think tht will make much diff..they both hv armv6..galaxy y just hs 3 inch screen with 133ppi.as compare to ace 3.5 inch with 165ppi..so ace have good resolution thn y.also y hs 2mp camera ace 5mp.but thts why y has less price than ace...call is urs
