hey guys..need some help..is it possible to transfer my old contacts on my old phones SIM card to the galaxy ACE? i tried simply sticking my old SIN card and tried to import my contacts to the phone but this did not work. any help would be great.thanks

is a good smart mobile ,i'm using until now is no problem, just a one thing is, the battery so fast low batt..... how can make battery to stand more power,so no need everytime to changing......

Someone said that this phone doesn't have front camera..does it mean,video call? this phone doesn't have video call??

and some battery tips:
-if u don't use internet 2g/3g just make sure "packet data" is disabled
-if u use internet don't bother with apps like juice defender or any other ones of the same kind..just install "apn switcher" from the Market(it's free)..it's a widget that allows u to completely enable/disable all data connections...
-keep your screen brightness at 1/3..it's enough trust me...
all the above are giving me a full day with medium to high use...

Is official 2.3.5 update stabl... moreI'm using it for about 3 weeks or so...works great no problems so far...it's the third release of this 2.3.5...i used the 2.3.5 KS2 for 2 weeks than found the KS9 release...i completly missed the KS3 to KS8 releases if they really existed(didnt find anything about them)....the battery seems to hold more than my previous 2.3.3(i didnt bothered with 2.3.4)i'm very pleased with it..no WiFi problems....
so my phone is set up like this:
-the 2.3.5 XWKS9 stock firmware
-rooted
-emptyed from useless apps that i dont need (60/181)
-flash player 11 installed
nice and clean

monty, 03 Dec 2011bro... i dwnloaded this titanium bckup... bt it is nt wrkin... moremonty , titanium backup is only for rooted android phones , to use any custom ROMs , u need to root your phone , u may root your phone using SuperOneClick

monty, 03 Dec 2011bro... i dwnloaded this titanium bckup... bt it is nt wrkin... moreJust follow the bellow tutorial...download that upd1 file to your card....shut down the phone....hold down the home button( the center big one) and turn on the phone...u should get a menu...look for the file(navigate with the volume keys) and apply with the center button..reboot...if u see a new app installed called superuser than your phone is rooted...

Hey all...here's what u should do...
1. get the latest firmware xwks9(firmware&ODIN tutorial):

2. Root the device :

(i used the same method for 2.3.5 XWKS9 and it's working great)
for unrooting just google...it's the same easy method like rooting
3. Get Titanium Backup from the Market(it's free) and delete any apps u won't use(i deleted alot of them like allshare,samsung apps,forest livewallpaper,yahoo finances,etc...) and u'll get 60/180 internal memory occupied :D
4. after deleting the apps u don't need get the ES File Explorer from the Market(it's free) go to the phone internal memory(hit the star icon then select PHONE and delete the files FROM(not the whole FOLDER) data/log and data/dalvik-cache..after that reboot the phone(this will clear alot of space because now the phone will boot just with the data of your remaining apps)
5. get REAL flash player(YES real working flash that can play youtube vids and play games in the browser)(use the same free ES File Explorer from the Market to copy the files)

All the credits go to the people who wrote the above tutorials...
Please follow the tutorials step-by-step and they should work without a problem as for me...
Known issues: after rebooting the phone the flash files from the phone memory will be deleted so leave the phone rooted and copy them back everytime(i'm talking about the 4 lib files)...keep a backup of them on the card...(i will search a fix for this)
My phone is working great and i'm so happy lol...

Does any one face problem of wifi error when wifi doesnot worked,

rhenz, 02 Dec 2011my galaxy ace bought in kuwait,and i was using it here in t... moretry checking your gprs setting... or you could also call the network you're using to send the setting to your phone... especially if you got your phone from another country
