now upgrade 2.3.4 through kies is possible
so go jst try to update kies then automatically upgrade 2.3.4
wow..........its work faster.....

since your mobile was in downloading mode you cannot put it into normal boot up,i have that experience when i try upgrading my ace to gingerbread,
i guess the best thing you can do is download the leak gingerbread version or the stock froyo firmware and upgrade it via odin.
when i mess up with upgrading i just repeat the process thru odin and i did it succesfully now i have 2.3.4 gingerbread on my ace running on custom rom coderomv1

hey folks.... can the ace be upgraded to android 2.3?? has the official update been released in the market??
also, which phone is better in HTC Wildfire S and this one?? i need good battery backups since i will be on move and will nt be able to charge the phone quite often... need smooth working system and the main thing is phone should not hang if i download apps from android market....
plz help me out to choose from HTC Wildfire S and Samsung Ace.

azhar, 02 Sep 2011I dont understand why my galaxy Ace outo off.i also face this problem but after update with 2.3.4 this problem solve now i can used 5 or more than 5 application in one time before update when i used more than two application one time my galaxy auto restart with glowing sign of Samsung.

frank, 02 Sep 2011I live in india n i had updated my ace to gingerbread throu... morebro i think ur using too many wigets thats y its consuming so much ram.i also updated it n im satisfied with the update.the visuals are same because it runs the same touch wiz 3.0 launcher/skin,so it wont make such a difference.when i used android 2.2.1 froyo,BIA2:global front used to lag a lot but now it runs almost smoothly,cause the graphics is too heavy for ace's gpu n cpu.before running such graphical intensive games.i recommend to everyone to clear the ram before starting a game

sammy willingly avoided it.
