AnonD-19294, 01 Sep 2011really dissapointed with 2.3.4 gingerbread no lock screen c... morecrt animation only works on custom rom on ace check youtube and search on how to install coderom v1 there you can learn how to have a crt animation on your ace.i upgraded my ace with coderom v1 and installed a honeycomb theme and transparent app drawer on touchwiz ui.this phone really rocks even battery sucks but its ok if we know how to manage your ace battery life then you don't have any problems.just always think ace is not a high end phone its just a mid range droid so don't expect too much.

Hi Friends, Did anyone able to upgrade to Gingerbread in India through Samsung Kies? My phone is still in Froyo and everytime I check for Firmware update, Kies reports that Phone is already on the latest firmware.

really dissapointed with 2.3.4 gingerbread no lock screen crt animation on it,
so by layman perspective like non android users,we cant wooo them
same style like that of 2.2.
no major tweaks except music player.

after all most awaited gingerbread update is out on a go. love to see the official update from samsung, and samsung should keep this good work, just like nokia provide very early updates. my first samsung phone and get a chance to update a phone in the very first month of purchasing. definately a fantastic phone as far as features is concerned. only downside is hd gaming which it does not support out of the box. but some sites are providing hvga hd games works fine on my set. really busy in exploring the new gingerbread. should discuss the changes in future. but it improves my quadrant benchmark scoring to en extent.
