i got mine as a gift the language on the phone needs to be changed to english. I cant read the language to understand where to do this

I also disabled the packet data. On the other unit, I just selected the 2g option and disabled the packet data as well.

Hey guys. I wanna know how is gameloft hd games playing on ace without any overclock. And price is too much for 15k. At 15k, you can get a lot in India.... An ipod touch 4 or Nokia c7(rocks with hardware but symbian 3 os)..... Please reply

Wave 2 looks jst too perfect except for the OS ..
WHat should i go for ..
is Ace a better decision over Wave 2 ?

mimi, 10 May 2011yes my friend it is true that galaxy ace is getting gingerbread No upgrade to 2.3 is possible. if your phone has 2.2 then that will have to do. enjoy. I just bought one and i can say ia mnow stuck with the 2.2.

One day of the Samsung S5830, My first task to upgrade to 2.3. which was a major failure. Samsung has a very long ways to make OS upgrade easy or even possible for ordinary users, if you are not a computer programer, then Samsung is not for you. not like I phone or Sony Ericsson products. with Sony Ericsson it took me 35 minutes, no issues. I am a person who is comfortable with technology, and have tried for 8 hours until I reached a whole page of programing language to enter to upgrade, I discovered that I made a bad choice. Will be back in the market again a day later looking for a Sony Erickson.
WiFi signal really weak, very surprised of all the hype about Samsung products.
My suggestions to look for different products.

I like the Design and size 3.5" and all specs. Because of it is not large or not small in size.
I need this size of phones for BADA 2.0 and WINDOWS 7. I hope Samsung will consider to launch Samsung Wave Ace and Samsung Omnia Ace soon in this size with high specs.

3G Problem, 10 May 2011 How to turn off 3G because there's no option for it under... moreAfter a week of having this phone, I bought another one for my wife. After comparing the 2 units, I've noticed that in my unit, when you go to setting -> Wireless and Networks -> Mobile networks ----There is a Network mode Option where you can select if you want to use GSM/WCDMA(Auto mode), GSM only, and WCDMA only. In my wife's unit, When you go to setting -> Wireless and Networks -> Mobile networks -> 2G only (option)----which I suppose turns off the 3G mode. I hope this helps.

Your mp3 song list must appear on the screen. Select the song that you want to set as your ring tone. While the song is playing, tap on the left side of your home button. Then in the lowermost middle part of the touch screen, the "Set as ringtone" option will appear. That's it.
