i had a plan to buy iphone 3GS but dropped due to heard Ace upgrable to OS2.3 gingerbread. It will be more successful now.

Actually i use to have Nokia 5800 earlier n has a backup file in *.nbu format via Nokia PC Suite. Just need to know can i restore it in Ace or not? If not then any other way out to get the entire data on the Ace ?
Also, any suggestions on software or application for Ace as Nokia 5800 plays mostly all the Video & Audio formats....or thru Real Player.

Hi guys,
based on some videos i've seen, the ace seems like the best midrange android out in the market. Good specs for the price.(unlike wildfire) Have some concerns though, can i transfer apps/games to sd card? Does it support all video formats?

I dont think the mentioned battery back up lasts for 600+ Hrs on standby.I am using this mibile and its worst when compare to Nokia.
I have tested the batter without calls and it lasts for 30 Hrs on standby thats it,......

plx replyget the Ace. Its the cheapest of the three, but the prettiest and most CAPABLE of the 3 :)
C7 has 8mp cam and dual LEDs, BUT only has 680 mhz CPU, an unreliable Symbian OS, and it relies on the Ovi Store which is full of trashy free apps.
Galaxy SL is more expensive than either Ace or C7, but it doesnt have LED flash for its camera. Its graphics card is also slower than the original Galaxy S.. besides, the Galaxy S2 is just around the corner, so why waste big money on an OLD MODEL phone??

The phone has some good features but doesn't have front camera for video calling, internal memory has only 158mb and we cannot record voice while on call. They should have programme voice recoder on call.

pk, 27 Apr 2011How is picture quality taken form 5 MP camera ( Autofocus).... moreActually, there is very little difference bet. 5mp and 8mp cameras, AF or not. I tried the Xperia Arc's 8mp Vs. Ace's 5 mp, and the Ace came out clearer but the Arc has slightly more detail and depth. However, you wont really notice the difference unless you "peep" every square inch of the pictures to compare.
I generally dont advise to get nokia, even with the very high mp count on their cameras, coz if you are only after the camera, it would be cheaper to get a stand-alone cam. Symbian OS of Nokias are very poor in performance, and unreliable, so it is wasteful if you just use your Nokia for its camera, and throw away the rest of it :P
As for Fixed focus Vs. AF, I prefer AF coz it gives more depth to your pics. But I think that as long as you have LED flash, and manual controls, you can still get decent shots with Fixed Focus. I still dont get how Nokia can cram high mps into their cameras, but NOT put a simple thing like auto focus :O

obviously it wont lag....its truly an amazing phone....have it since a month now....rooted , unrooted twice , flashed firmware.....its superb

... morehey Suzil its very simple yaar why to go for dat phone which manufacturer is not confident of incase of wave II. They are promoting their OS bada n bada is new in the market with less apps. While in Ace they r using Android OS, n u have wide range of Android market.
So according to me go Galaxy Ace.

I've already update the Kies version to 2.0.0.11032_12, the problem is there's no option for Firmware Upgrade. On the Firmware Information it states that "This is the latest firmware." but I didn't upgrade anything.

Yes guys by updating the "Firmware" this phone gets a new feel,very smooth,consumes less RAM usage. It helps files to open up without taking anytime no hanging up problems no restart again & again.
Update KIES & you will be able to do it. It shows you an update message of firmware updation.
