I have the Galaxy Ace for a week, and I am absolutely happy with it. The SMS has been revamped and I can read/type the entire message on the large 3.5" screen (Previously, you can only type words in a teeny tiny window). The camera flash and the 5mp camera are what really got me to buy this phone -- perfect combi. The 800 mhz processor is the icing on the cake. The phone is soo pretty, so much prettier than HTC wildfire S or LG optimus1.
If Samsung comes up with the Ace 2, I would be first in line to get it. My wish list of specs for the next Ace 2 are: 1) 720p video recording (2) 512 RAM, with 520 ROM; and (3) front facing camera.

After using it for 1 week now, have noticed increase in battery life. But still needs to be charged twice a day. (bit of heavy usage)
Handset does restart sometimes when RAM goes full or almost full. Need for extra does arise at times. Making sure to shut down applications not needed helps.
Touchscreen is quite nice and sensitive. Camera is good, video recording turned out to be better than expected. Handset look attractive as well. Processor is fast, not super fast. Loads of amazing apps on market. Loudspeaker sound is Ok. Could have been louder. Default browser works extremely slow (atleast on my handset). Attempted software re-flash but couldnt do it as got an error "no upgrade available".
As for now I m happy with the galaxy ace... :-)
will write more later after using for few more weeks.

I recently bought Samsung Galaxy Ace. The battery lasts only for 8-9Hrs. Also the phone hangs very frequently. I am unable to record videos using this phone. Can anyone please suggest whats the problem ?

ron, 03 Mar 2011finall finally i got this phone after reading all reviews f... moredude..get ur facts right..this phone has android 2.2..which has a functionality to install on the sd card directly..unlike 2.1 in which app2sd was used..
i bought this phone..and it rocks!!

Its a superb phone.. Any body who is thinking of buying an expensive iphone should take a look at this phone. I am using it since last 7 days & I am just enjoying it. The only thing that is little bit worrisome is battery. It doesnt last long more than 1 day, if you use GPS / WiFi. But the performance of the phone is just SUPERB.. Its Camera is very good, Touch screen is excellent & Android 2.2 is one of the best smartphone OS... Just Buy it..

I have been using this for a month and here are some of genuine points i would like to state up
I am not a big fan of samsung products, As i have noticed problems with this software of samsung mobiles i have used so far. But still i got very much interested in this particular mobile seeing it first time.
Pros
1) It looks absolutely elegant with its curves, front and back.
2) Userinterface is pretty fast, thanks to 800 Mhz horse powering up behind
3) ofcourse Froyo, thumbsup
4) am not a avid camera uses, so nevermind.
Cons
1) Wifi glitch, facing it almost once in 2 days or everyday. when try to turn on wifi it ends up in "error". i shd restart my mobile to fix this. Mailed to samsung support, but no resolution yet.
2) Data Connection lost, sometimes takes very long time to restore even u see full signal. dont know what the heck is that.
3) You could see some considerable lag in games. Experienced manytimes in angry birds
4) Battery lasts one day with medium usage.
5) Just once my mobile got restarted while browing the net (typical samsung !!)

I have noticed that during a call (through the earpiece) the volume sometimes spikes up just for a millisecond or something and then comes back to normal. Has anyone else noticed this ?

galaxy ace wont support flash player.it will screw your happiness after purchase.you cant play flash games.
