Hello all
Im wondering to which phone is should get whether this or the c7. I like the android and i like the big screen iphone feel to this one. How is it with the movies and stuff? Is i accessible than the nokia to pc? Can this be upgaded later to the android 2.3? Well anyways hope someone will give me an advice in comparison.

Hi, Bought this phone yesterday from Chroma for Rs.15400 with some free goodies as Offer. Without free stuff it was 14,900. Using it since yesterday and is really amazed by its performance, All existing users kindly let me know is there any way to check the battery status in percentage apart from the traditional bars on top. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

coming from Galaxy S, which used to charge it twice/day the battery life is great.Without overreacting, 24h/one charge going pretty hard on it.Absolutely not as fast as Galaxy S and missing important features( divx support,second camera,screen quality,) but I gave up all these for battery life.Power is nothing without a good battery, all the functions will become useless.
battery is also depending on the network signal strength, so I am not surprised some of you are complaining about battery life in regions such India, Philippines, Bali. I am in Europe, the same place I used to charge my Galaxy S/twice or even 3 times in 24 hours.
I would recommend this phone for a maximum of $300, else go for something better.

Bought yesterday for my wife,its a good phone but not the best,
If u pay more money u get more good things,its natural.i have a SE x10i too.thats my favourite,planning for XPERIA ARC OR XPERIA NEO.

I hope my review of Samsung galaxy ace will be helpful for many people. I bough this phone from ebay india and got the delivery very fast in Pune from Udaipur vendor. (He took only 2 days to ship the mobile and 1 day was taken by the Blue Dart courier).
I went through lot web sites before finalizing this phone. It's a new budget phone from Samsung. I took this phone after comparing it with Motorola DEFY, LG Optimus One (waited for LG Chic for almost 3+ months) and compared it with HTC wildfire. Please remember this is not a high end phone and do not expect a premium features/hardware from this phones. I had a decent budget cap of indian Rs 15-16K (max $350 USD) and inside that budget cap I was looking for maximum features/facilities.
Phone came with headphones, battery, additional white color plastic back, a charger and USB cable to connect it to computer, 2 GB MicroSD card and manual CD's. I was wondering if i need to take a backup of my contacts but after inserting my sim android software very well integrated everything. I installed facebook, twitter apps and android identified correct people there numbers, facebook details and twitter details under one name!
On most of the sites there is incorrect information available about memory. This phone has 278 MB of RAM and 181 MB of storage. Phones graphic quality is very neat, clean and crysp. The touch response is very smooth and fast also you don't need to hard press to generate the required touch. Phone auto rotates the screen if you hold it horizontally. Phone really surprised me at first when the entire battery drained out in just 6 hrs. However I searched it on google on how to improve the battery life of android phones and I found good links to do the same. I turned off the other GSM network search and only limit it to 2G as I have idea sim card. I also installed a widget to enable/disable wifi, gprs, sync features in one tap. Reduced the brightness of the screen and in last 6 hrs I have only lost one battery bar! So i can assume it worked well.
I installed following apps:
Opera browser, Adobe acrobat reader, barcode scanner, compass, google sky map, twitter, facebook, ASTRO file manager, converter, Air control light, skype, talking tom, Shazam all the mentioned apps are free. I also noticed that I can edit doc,xls, ppt files in ThinkFree office suite that came pre installed with the phone. Phone supports multi touch, phone supports youtube but not the flash that is embedded into websites. Headphone are optimized for better voice quality during call so they dont give great quality sound when you are listining songs, however when I plugged in my creative earphones sound quality was amazing.
Samsung also has provided a software that converted various video formats into mp4 that can be easily played on mobile.
Over all I'm very happy with this phone, considering the budget cap I had.

from the thread it is clear that all the features are goos it would be of grear use if some users can comment on the battery backup ..i.e how much time with using most of the features likw wifi, net, ect .. and just as in normal usuage

really a cool mobile.. got it for rs 14800 in pondicherry... froyo works great so far no lags at all.. ram is 300 mb.. internal memory is 158 mb... touch sensitivity is really responsive and cool... nice to feel the phone in ur hands... professionall looks.. music quality is optimum.. not too low or too high.. just perfect... wifi n is really cool..
android phones under 15000... galaxy ace is the best.... camera is not bad.. of course video rec is not up to the mark.. if u have a higher budget say within 20k go samsung galaxy s lcd i9003.. rs 19600
