So in my view price of Defy is reasonably placed and could be a worth deal to buy once its price would settle within a month.

The main big issue for this phone that will be encounter in the future is the ROM if you install more apps then then you will be experiencing lag. And also the battery life... is just like a netbook battery that runs only for 5 hrs? when using the Wifi... whewww

How does the Motorola defy compare to The new Samnsung Galaxy Ace?
The Galaxy has just been launched here in India for INR15000 (USD333) and the defy costs INR18000 (USD400).

Thanks for the information. I too keep on checked flipkart site but i believe the site has been updated just an hour before regarding this mobile avblty.
As you said, most probably it will be avbl in stores by next week itself. Will keep a close monitoring regarding its performance and then we have to make a decision.
If anyone already bought this mobile from India, can pls share the cost and its performance also?

I just got this one. Well, battery life is really an issue for ANDROID phone especially if WIFI is on. Nevertheless, this phone does not lag or freeze, this phone is a downgrade version from GALAXY S which has 1Ghz speed but with a flash on camera, which for me is better.
