This is a cool phone. The specs are not true one the page but it comes with 2.3.6 Gingerbread, Gorilla Glass display,more RAM and storage the rest is same as the original Ace. As for custom ROM's there aren't any as this is a new upgraded version, but I belive developers will soon make some. You can still root your device though. Overall it's the best mid-range phone I've had.
The battery life is well if u don't epic raid it like me. I play games/chat on facebook/listen music and I still use the phone for 8-9 hours. If it's in standby or calls only it lasts 2-3 days :)

This samsung galaxy Ace S5830i is a great cell phone and it has good apps and features.... i brougt it on 21/06/2012, no doubt go and buy it........thank u (mantu)

gsmarena,please correct yourself.it has190MB internal storage,not158MB.
and it comes with 2.3.6 gingerbread.

Guys,
Can anyone answer me whether this phone can record at vga resolution after any firmware update? This phone actually records video with resolution of 320x240 but original ace can record video VGA resolution after firmware update. SO please inform me whether it is possible with this phone or not?

Well based on my experience on using this phone and making some reading on the internet , this s5830i hardware is more likely similar to Galaxy 'Y' . This model is totally different with s5830 just with extra 32 Mhz speed . Because of this phone is new , no custom rom has been made yet . And this phone not fully support games and certain apps so we all might wait for custom rom which can make it support more .

this is phone beautiful BUT only support few apps bcoz internal phone storage only 190mb

wow,,,, i think this phone was awesome!!!!!
althouhgt compare in high end or latest phone,,,, it has no macth but for thingking it was in the middle range phone!!!!! ist great!!!

but what i dissapointed in one reason!!!!

The handset is really better than the specifications show (someone has already given the correct values) ... Been using it for a month; loving it.
Verdict : Better than the original Ace.
