This phone is a sexy monster ! I have the gold color ! I get a lot attention while holding this phone in public !if u never hold this phone please don't say anything bad about it ! It has premium feel that most of the phone don't come close!the plastic back is a plus Cuz can remove battery ,keep the phone light and prevent overheat. Everything is Much better compare to iPhone! Screen is only 720p but has very high contrast , more accurate color compare to my sister's note 3 , even s5.performance is blazing fast . I get 50001 scores on antutu !battery is so good even only 1860mah ! I got 4h30MN screen on time every usage. Overall a phone that keep me stand out and satisfy my needs.

Alpha is Exynos 5430 , which one is monster .
and my friend's s4 always lag here and there
2 - Camera , isocell sensor 12mp of Alpha is much better than 13mp of s4 , Alpha has even better than 21mp of z3
3 - Alpha can record 4k video and much much better 1080p video
4 - Alpha is premium phone
5 - Fingerprint sensor , i can't live without that
6 - Heart rate sensor very good to show off :P
7 - Latest Touchwiz
8 - Display of Alpha is unmatched , its accurate and resolution is looking fine , i have played same video on Alpha and S5 , on Alpha its looking much better
9 - Battery of Alpha is actually better than S4 .
cause , Exynos 5430 is 20 nm Arch. which one is power efficient

just ordered the phone, and found out there discontinuing it!!!
read the rest of the article and its due to the high end making of it. read reviews and sounds like a good phone that serves for longevity over coolness, with the metal framing, backup cores for when the phone experiences stress. super stoked to get this phone before there gone!

If you want an alternative to iphones then alpha is suitable for you. Alpha is all about premium feel, quality & beauty. Samsung has focused strictly on quality of alpha in every aspect. Alpha's performance overall is superb. Many people debate about 12mp camera, low resolution, low battery. In that sense if u can compare any generation iphone with its competitors you will find iphone far behind but when it comes to performance iphones lead. Similarly alpha is about quality & performance it won't let you down.
If only the criteria of the phones were specifications then high end phones of companies like micromax, lava, intex etc would dominate which have huge numbers in specifications in less price.

I have never faced such issues of heating in Alpha even after playing heavy games (unlike other android devices which heats like hell when playing high graphic games). Make sure Alpha is up to date. Check regularly for updates manually as i have installed 4 updates in India after purchasing Alpha (Purchased on 16th November 2014) and after each updates my device has improved a lot in overall performance.
As per my view Samsung is releasing around 2 updates in a month for their flagship & premium devices.
So make sure to check for updates manually instead of relying on automatic update notification.

it is a good phone but gets boiling hot within minutes of switching on the internet…
cannot handle it while net in on….

i have the intel 1234 Alpha Numeric. Its so good, the screen lights up. Buttons can be press, and the camera takes photos. Damn this is the perfect phone for me. I positively suggest to buy this phone.

S4 is having Exynos 5 Octa 5410 & Alpha is having Exynos 5 Octa 5430 which is very fast as compare to 5410.
12 Mega pixel of Alpha is better than 16 megapixel S5. You can check the camera quality comparison in GSM Arena only.
Display of Alpha is more vibrant than S4 when you see both devices at a time simultaneously then you feel the difference.

Even S4 is better in most of the specs like camera, screen size, resolution, pixel density and even battery. Then why to buy this and not S4? Please suggest.
