JuSt bought the gold one ! I really like the looks!touch wiz iso still lag sometimes but doesn't matter to me, battery is average can get 4 hours scteen on time , I'm a bit upset when my friends saw it the first time and they said it's look like an iPhone! I'm so pissed to hear that!

I don't even like to see Htc m8's display
HTC m8 display is looking washed out for me .

Stock android is looking Cheap China and its complete garbage .
While latest Touchwiz from alpha is looking sexy and having lots of Useful features which other phones don't have it
Alpha is currently best phone out there.
Better than iphn6 , M8, Z3, S5 etc.

In between , its not about launcher .
There are lots of other things in interface which makes it looks like Cheap.
I don't understand , why Google can't make polished and attractive design and nice animations in stock android .
Is it really hard ? :XD
And whats the point of onscreen buttons ?on Nexus, Sony ,Lg
I hate it .
Thank god , Samsung is giving one physical Home button .

Exynos 5430 blow away ur M8 Snapdragon 801 out of water .
After using Alpha , I didnt even like to use that M8's Display its washed out for me , phone miss lots of Touchwiz feature . Too heavy , bad camera Lol , very slippery , isn't Fast as alpha .

But yes , I m missing that Active Display
Stock android is stock android , Its garbage ,
Its fast I know but 32k for Moto X stock android isn't worthy .it's only worthy up to 13k like Moto G .
Anyway , I am more than happy with my Alpha and best phone available right now for me

I am not at all fighting here or just trying to tell that which phone is superior because I too got to know that alpha is a good device.
Yeah i am sure its one of the biggest reasons you dont like moto x that you did not use its voice control which is one of the most advanced voice command systems in world. i was just like you a few days back and did not believe in voice commands, while you actually have to touch your phone then voice commands makes no sense at all...
But what if there's a device which is constantly listening to your voice even when its in sleep mode. All of a sudden you wake at midnight and u remember to put an alarm for tomorrow morning. Now you are thinking where your phone is??? But not in case with moto x just say "ok google now" and because its constantly listening to ur voice 24 by 7 it will respond. then you just say "wake me up tomorrow at 6" and there you go. you can sleep now without actually bringing any of your hand out of quilt. You dont even need to look at screen because its absolutely accurate. You can practically ask it to set reminders, ask questions and most important and best one is that the phone knows while you are driving or you are just sitting at home because of its special built processor which is always awake. And while you are driving it gives you total control to operate the device by voice. Like listening to messages, responding to them, calling and using GPS, all without a touch.
Now if the phone is constantly listening to your voice definitely it will take some battery bro. You cant have all in one. I know the reason of your disappointment and that you never tried to use voice commands which could have been a real pleasure and very practical to use. And by this feature you also start to feel that phone is personally yours because it only responds to your voice.
As you said in alpha you turned off S voice to get rid of home button lag similarly to improve battery life by 40% you could have turned off those voice commands on moto x, as simple as that.
But ya in screen quality I agree with you that moto x has a over saturated display in which skin tones are far off from natural, and I cant help it. So i now believe you that alpha must be having a better display with better saturation. But again at the price of alpha, moto x 2nd gen is also available which means a better screen than before with good saturation levels.
about stock android as I told you its a fact that it can be changed the way you want as its stock and very light and best thing is that i can install only those apps which I want only. Now you can't uninstall a no. of apps which eat up RAM, (say S Voice) keep asking for updates as well, also decrease internal memory by a fair amount. I know you dont need to add launchers in your device but if ever you try to use one you'll see it will not work as smooth as it works on stock because of the same reason that in alpha its first stock android bought from google then on that software, some work is done to change its look & feel and then its called touchwiz. On top of that if one thinks to use one more launcher ... you know what i mean to say here...
however I got all your points which seem to be quite valid like why to go for a higher ppi while we can have almost same in less, and phone is very lightweight as well because of very light battery and not having a full metal body.
I agree that its not the way i thought before. There are some reasons that still make it a good buy.

But india got S805 , my friend have it and it lags .
Alpha'S display quality is amazing , I have watched 2-3 movies of 720p and 1080p on my Alpha and I compared it with my iPhone 6 .
It's looking superb on alpha (color reproduction etc. Is much Better than Older superamoleds ) and it tells display of alpha is Amazing .

Alpha owners , here is a tip for u.
From the 1st day , I had lag on Home button .I mean , when I press home button to go to home screen , it took 0.5 - 0.7 sec.
I go to Samsung service centre to tell this problem yesderday .
That person takes my phone and go to S-Voice than in Setting of S-Voice .
And Disabled that Option (Use Hone button to Launch S-Voice )
And now that Lag gone , and I am very happy .
Through I never use S-Voice , Siri on my iPhone 6 , Google now etc.
I hope Samsung will fix this bug , so it will be usefull for those who are using that S-Voice .
But I think only 1% people are using this kind of Voice command apps like S-Voice , Siri , Google now etc :P

Antutu Benchmark is also reliable , its more than 50,000 and real life performance tells that .
And GFXbench score Exynos alpha is best compared to all android devices , it blow away all that Z3,S5,M8,Note4 out of water both version in ONSCREEN tests .
My Friend's Note 4 S805 is slow compared to my alpha .

A. It's called delta E RGBCMY not RGBMY for the 3 basic colors and their combinations ( red, green, blue, cyan, magenta and yellow).
B. alpha uses mali T628MP6 GPU, not T638
C. Note 4 exynos practically crushes alpha in benchmarks. Also it has higher antutu score. Also galaxy s4 scores 34000 on AnTuTu 5.1 which is the latest version. You're quoting it's score from older antutu.
D. Don't ever again use antutu scores to compare performance. Use Geekbench, GFXBench etc. AnTuTu is the worst benchmark ever. I have a lot of reasons to tell this but let's keep the reply compact.

The feature I really liked was Active Display .
Things I hates on my moto x was its very bad look at rear , Bad battery life , I cannot decrease color saturation like I can on Alpha , Stock android interface is garbage , Sometimes signal drops to zero it may be problem with my phone .
Moto x was my 1st and last phone with stock android
Battery of Alpha still last long more than Moto x .
Cause Exynos alpha is 20nm processing architecture like IPhone 6 .
But yes , Battery is Ok and Ultra power saving always helps at emergency
720p display isn't any problem , Display is overall much better than S5 in terms of Color reproduction , Delta E RGBMY ,Gamma etc.
I m Completly satisfied with my phone.I will keep this minimum 1 year .
I m very much impressed by lots of Touchwiz features , Great ui and Superb performance
U can get 2500 mAH battery for Alpha ,
But I will not buy it cause battery is still OK with 1860 mAH
As 2500 mAH will lost its 6.7 mm thickness and its 115 gm light weight

U can read my earlier comments about 15-25... moreHey bro I know it definitely feels real bad if someone talks rubbish about our handset which we buy after thinking a lot. I dont know what problems you faced with moto x. These days its in my hand (its of my cousin) but I just liked it that is why I was amazed for the reason that I actually found someone who did not like the device. In fact I loved the way it responds to my voice any time that too perfectly. I dont practically touch my phone for most of the tasks and its really smart with its absolute accuracy and speed. Its a a diff topic so leave it.
And also I've not used alpha so I can't make a direct comparison. All i was saying is that the preloaded features of samsung definitely make these phones go slow and I want my phone to utilise most of its RAM in apps which i use Instead of wasting it on some apps which are not even useful.
Like S voice is totally useless while these phones are android and most advanced voice commands called google voice commands are already present which are way too faster and accurate. So what's the use of S voice except for eating up RAM and battery. Also If phone is above 30k is it bad to expect a battery of around 25-3000 mah.? No doubt samsung did it well by minimizing high end specs to save battery and that too with minimum compromise. But still it would have been better with price tag was to be minimized as well.
Company is giving you lighter specifications and claims that its performance will be quite similar to high end devices but price will be higher than high end devices then its quite a "think about" question.
You personally dont like stock version of android that is a different thing. A stock version of android can be customized in a no. of ways you want but if you try to customize a device with already heavy user interface definitely U'll have to compromise with battery, speed and overall performance.
Dont get me wrong, device is definitely good as you cleared out many things that are misunderstood by people but its out in market definitely with an extravagant price tag.
