I think this is one of the best phone ever...battery back up is great.display is owsome.4k video working smoothly. And I am very proud with my alpha.camera is better than s5.

As an 1months owner. I can say the battery backup is really ok vs it.s capacity . I guess the new processor tehnology helps a lot the small battery. I can use it for almost 2 days with internet usage. One time I've reached 3 days without ultra/power save but no more than 30min of browse per day. Also it is important the gsm signal you have , if it.s bad the battery will drain faster. God screen, god materials, found a nice slim tpu. Excellent socre in Antutu. You won.t feel the missing card slot or the need for 1 gb ram. And don.t forget Lolipoop will bring more battery backup and a higher performance. So, I recomend it...

Hey bruce, i have seen the alpha and really liked the white colour.
After downloading some apps like Fb, Watsapp and some games..is the battery life still the same as before??
its always said more the apps more the battery consumption in the background.
kindly give your feedback. Looking forward to change from S4 to Alpha as my S4 has a pathetic battery life.

But in ultra power saving mode , it will last long upto 3 days for normal use
I can use it up to 8-10 Hours after full charge as more than normal use like calling , whattsapp ,some Browsing, taking some photos
If u continously use your phone ,
It can last long 4 hour , which is good enough.
Yes , battery is not as good as Z3C , but
There is always Ultra power saving mode on Galaxy alpha , which is very usefull to me .
I choose Alpha alpha , Cause I hate Sony badly .
In fact its really much better than Z3c.
Sony service centres are very bad quality. I have expirience with it.
So I will never go for it .
I have Galaxy Alpha Gold , and its looking so great .
Its looking different than all phones .
Looking premium like iphn5s gold .
Side edges is very premium .
Back plastic also feeling premium , its looking much better than even Note 4 .
I have iPhone 6 and alpha both ,
I can't live without Fingerprint sensor .
Fingerprint sensor of Alpha is as fast as my iPhone 6 and alpha has got very accurate ,
I hate entering pins / Passwords / Patterns .
I will not buy any phone which haven't got fingerprint sensor
While on my iPhone 6 , sometimes I get try again try again , only sometimes
But on alpha , I get only 1 time in 5 days.
Fingerprint was bad and slow on S5 .
Heart rate sensor is good and accurate , and nice to show off Lol .
Screen shot quality of Alpha is exellent , colours are looking very attractive ,
Best superamled ever I see after note4.
Z3c display is worst display , I never liked any xperia's display
Sunlight visibility of alpha is excellent and much better than Z3c
Interface of Sony is like Pure android , which is garbage
I love some features of touchwiz ,
Like Multi window ,
Camera of alpha is better than Z3c .
Video recording is great ,
There is option of Smooyh motion , and u can record video very very highly smoothly ,
4k is good , it can't record on SD card ,
So its great to see in 25.6 gb available internal , u can record more min. Than 10gb internal of Z3c .
Led flash strength of alpha is exellent .
Speaker is great , very clear and loud enough .
In 10 GB internal of z3c , u cannot install apps on SD card .
10gb is very less for me .
I like 25.5 GB internal , I can install more apps and games
The most great thing is , its very light weight .

Hi Alpha owners, can u share your experience about this phone? I recently purchased a 2nd hand S2.The battery life is terrible but I don't regret it. Next year when renewing my contract I'm looking for a compact phone such as Alpha or Z3C. I like the fact that Alpha has a user replaceable battery-but it's just 1860mah-Samsung could have made it 2100mah in a 7mm thickness. Hmm, anyway how long is this 1860mah last based on your daily usage. Thanks. Jun

If u don't like saturated display ,
Than in display settings , u can change display mode ,
And if u change it u can get natural colours .
But I like default mode. Adapt display

what about the display saturation and colour accuracy?? We know amoled displays always creates high colour saturation that causes fake colour accuracy...Currently I'm using moto X..Is alpha better than moto X in terms of display performance??pls reply..

looks wise - i think it's the best looking phone today..
performance wise - can't comment much since i didn't buy this phone yet. But it seems very intuitive when I try it. This phone is in my buying list.
screen wise - great.

I got the chance to use this phone again today and i have to give kudos to samsung about the design.
The plastic back is actually very gummy (i dont have any words to describe the actual feel so i will stick with gummy)and it provides a very good grip. It doest feel like plastic!!!
The fingerprint scanner is very responsive as compared to the implementation in the galaxy s5 although its not better than the ones found on iphones...
The performance is damn good. Because of the less demanding screen the processor can deliver very well and as far as i have used the phone, it did not hang a single time
(neglecting the lag when you swipe to get to my magazine but thats more of a software bug. It doesnt have anything to do with the processor)
I dont know why people are complaining soooo much. If they dont wanna buy it then dont. Stop spamming the page by your complains

display of alpha is best super amoled ever ,ppi isn't only the factor of quality of display , there are much more .
i really don't understand whats the point of having 1080p on 4.7'' screen ,
312 ppi is sharp enough .
1080p will decreas battery life (screen on time) , slow down gpu performance , will consume lot more mobile data while surfing.
i have watched pocketnow's review of this phone on youtube , they said
"720p at 4.7" is hardly a travesty"

and 10 hours battery for me , from normal to heavy usage.
also don't forget , ultra power saving mode ,
i haven't tried it 24*7 times on , but i think , it will last long upto 3 days for normal use

surprisinglya 1860mAh in this Alpha performs longer (much longer by more than 4 hours longer) than S5 (which I was really dissapointed for the battery life 2,800mAh).
Maybe the software thingy is good yeah? very efficient!
Alpha, normal use, can last for 10 hours. LOVELY!
