I want to buy this phone. bu the only question which is hurting me is "WHY ON THIS EARTH THE BATTERY IS JUST 1900mAH"
If anyone has used this phone, can u please review about the battery factor regarding how long does this phone.
My usage is comparatively low
just whatsapp and internet surfing and music upto 1 hour max a day and nothing of heavy HD gamin....

    [deleted post]The trouble is you don't read the threads. A small part of your limited reading and understanding will not give you the correct picture.

    Affordability is not the issue, issue is the price what you want to pay vis-a-vis the product what you get. You compare yourself the alpha vs the Note3, for ~ same pricing, which is the better option.

    The alpha is a phone without panache / Lacks the hardware / with a hefty price tag.

    With my analysis, the price is expected to correct sharply to ~ 25-28 k sooner than later. And sub 20 k within 6-8 months.

    And fyi nexus 6 is by Motorola. That shows the companies credibility. Motorola has some of the best industrial communication devices in the world. It was going through a rough phase after dominance of many years.

              S5, Z2,3 is water proof , its heats up too much .

              Alpha is heating very less compared to those .


              Waterproof phones always have bad Speakers .

                  i am owner of galaxy alpha and iphone 6 both ,here is my review .


                  so finally i got my iphone 6 space grey 16gb at 53,000 INR yesterday , i m very exited about it .
                  its just amazing phone , some less educated people gonna hate it , lol .

                  I also bought galaxy alpha gold at 37.3 k, but now i am thinking , i should buy charcol black one. but gold one is also looking excellent like jewellery

                  here is my comparison ,

                  1st of all , both comes with superb camera and video record .
                  both camera are great in different different situations .


                  in outdoors/good light and some good locations , i think Galaxy Alpha camera is more better ,
                  its having nice details and accurate colours ,
                  and also when u zoom both camera , zooming gonna be looking more better on the galaxy alpha .

                  software wise , i prefer alpha , cause its having very nice features and different-different modes in alpha .


                  when it comes to Low light / night scene ,
                  alpha camera is not that great .
                  iphone 6 captures better pics in these .

                  overall , both camera are good .


                  when it comes to video recording , Galaxy alpha is clear winner .

                  cause in camera software , they are many settings .
                  like. , Smooth Motions , and in these mode , motion and movements are recording excellent on the Galaxy Alpha .

                  also alpha supports 4k video records , its very great feature , if u have 4k ultra hd LED tv .

                  When it comes to Slow motion video , iphone 6 is clear winner , it captures much better slow motion video.
                  alpha isn't bad through .




                  now talk about display ,
                  Both phones are coming with Best displays , i can't find any pixelation on both of the diplays, both displays are sharp enough .

                  this time i think samsung improved Super amoled display , and one of the best looking display out there , its even much better than friend's galaxy s5 .
                  Iphone 6 is also great display .
                  i still can't say , which one is better .

                  both display is great in direct sunlight , but for me i think alpha is little better in outdoors .


                  SIze and looks ,
                  both phones looks great ,
                  both phones are having 4.7 size , but alpha is much comfortable to hold .

                  iphone 6 is very slippery feels ,
                  i feel , i will drop my phone .
                  alpha is more comfortable .
                  also i notice , galaxy Alpha is very light weight compared to iphone 6 .

                  Speaker and call quality ,
                  in this , iphone 6 is winner .
                  loud speaker of iphone 6 is little louder and clearer

                  alpha is also good , but not as iphone 6 .


                  in terms of os , iphone 6 is clear winner .
                  same apps on ios is looking better , its performance and graphics are superb on ios .
                  android is cheap OS .


                  in terms of gaming , iphone 6 is clear winner even through 1gb of ram .

                  i played Modern combat 5 and asphat 8 on both phones .
                  clearly i can see , iphone 6 graphics are superb polished and superb frame rates smooth
                  and also got extra graphics effects .

                  Galaxy alpha is also performing superb on games,
                  but no where nearer to iphone 6 .

                  but yes , 16 gb iphone is not enough for games , cause out of 16 gb , less than 12.5 gb is available only .

                  u can install more on alpha ,
                  cause 25.6 GB is available there .

                  Finger print scanner is great on both device ,
                  but iphone 6 has got better touch id than samsung .

                  happy to see , samsung improoved fingerprint scanner on galaxy alpha , cause on s5 ,it sucks .

                  Heart rate sensor of Galaxy alpha is accurate .



                  Overall both phones performing great .
                  Strange to see iphone 6 is having excellent multi tasking even with 1 gb ram

                  but when it comes to Apple Safari browser , it sucks n heavy multitasking , cause on heavy multi tasking ,
                  when u return to browser , it keeps page reloading .
                  other than this , multi tasking is excellent .


                  Battery life of Both phones are good and almost same .

                  Samsung Galaxy Alpha got Ultra Power saving mode ,
                  which is very excellent and best power saver out there .


                  Galaxy Alpha is very impressive when it comes to Features and ability .

                  For example - i really love Latest Touchwiz looking great , updated Multi window feature , which i truely miss on iphone 6 ,
                  Love the camera app features of Galaxy Alpha .
                  And many more .


                  So finally i can say Both phones are great , and i m satisfied with it .

                  but when it comes to OS , no phone comes nearer to iphone 6 .

                  again i say , Same Apps are way more polished and fluid on ios .

                          Does anyone know if the screen is gorilla glass?
                          It's not mentioned in the box or Samsung website. Even GSMArena said that they are not sure.

                              Wow,,, ppl who are commenting are basing their "opinions" on what they've read. I can tell you all that the Alpha is a great phone and I'm not saying that because im a fanboy, im actually an Apple addict well I was until the iphone shit I mean six. The Alphas battery although lower capacity than others it's definitely much better than ALL iPhones and previous incarnations! No radio? So what that's why there apps like tune in radio, no water proof? So what I don't take my phone swimming with me, No removable storage? Who cares no Apple had never had removable storage and I managed quiet well the last 5-6 years, plastic back? That's brilliant cus if it were metal you wouldn't be able to remove it so easily or replace it so easily! Besides that you can also swap batteries without having to take the phone to a phone shop. Specs wise it doesn't look brilliant on "paper" but user opinions it flies,, I test drove the Sony z3 compact which is a beast but so ugly and that glass back is asking for trouble no nfc either but a small powerhouse. If you want more of a powerhouse than the alpha then get the note 4 it's fast powerful and great looking but tbh I don't like the size. So for all bashing the Alpha try it out for a few days and don't judge on spec sheets! Peace to one and all oh yeh and the z3 is only a few quid cheaper so not worth being a cheap skate and missing out on a great phone. iPhones are actually sucking more every time they bring out something new..eff you apple why did you recode AirPlay disappointing!

                                Yesterday , I bought Galaxy Alpha 32 gb at 37,300 INR .after I sold my 5 month moto X at 10,000 .

                                its amazing phone and I m completely satisfied with it , amazing camera and video record .

                                Will post my review soon , I have also booked iphone 6 16gb will get today evening .


                                I don't understand why people are complaining about its price.
                                Its perfect price ,
                                2k more compared to galaxy S5 , because its much better than Galaxy S5 other than no water proofing .

                                    Dont compare with S5 bcoz
                                    If we campare with S5 battery backup is verry nice in this phone.
                                    Verry Good Features and verry verry nice look
                                    Leave about water-proof why I put my phone into water ?

                                        The blackberry service is far from elegant... so far that its almost going in the opposite direction :/

                                        If you did not read my comments on the z10 page let me tell you my story in brief... blackberry's service sucks. I already own a Z10 which i had sent for a replacement and guess what... i received the device after almost 3 months and they kept on promising to give it within 10 days!!

                                        Regarding the speed its obvious that the galaxy alpha is faster because of the latest hardware it is packing. The z10 is nothing in front of this..
                                        And i am not at all loyal to the galaxy series of smartphones. In fact i only own a galaxy s2 and i would like to buy a new smartphone now. Its between the htc one m8, galaxy alpha and iphone 5s
