Next waiting for Marshmallow update as early possible mainly for app permissions.

This device is such a beautifully designed and well crafted one. Good one from Samsung. !
Expecting Galaxy Alpha 2 if possible although plan has been shelved. !

This is the official answer of Samsung Support.
Further to your recent email, we do not have any confirmed information or release dates as yet on whether the Galaxy Alpha will receive the Marshmallow update.
You will receive a notification on your device for any updates that may become available, if automatic updates have been selected on your device.
Such a good device with kitkat but with so many problems with Lollipop 5.0.2.
Samsung should respect more their byers. Galaxy Alpha mented to be the IPhone 6 killer.
It's uunbelievable that Samsung does'nt support an expensive device like this for more than a year.

There's still no word from Samsung on whether the Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy Note 3 will get the update.
